Join workshop organizer and Award-winning Photojournalist, Diana Cantey, and internationally acclaimed equine photographer Scott Trees for a dynamic day of learning and shooting in a Western-themed setting. The workshop kicks off with a compelling lecture (10:00 AM–12:00 PM) where Scott shares career highlights, insights into horse behavior, and essential dos and don'ts when working with equine subjects. After a lunch break, reconvene at 2:00 PM at Union Rock Cattle Company for a hands-on photography session covering portraits, action shots, and a surprise creative setup.
Registration opens at 9:00 AM.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to learn from a master behind the lens.
What Gear to Bring (If You Want to Nail the Shots)
Bring a DSLR or mirrorless camera you trust, ideally with a 24–70mm and 70–200mm lens for versatility. These will cover everything from landscapes to action shots. While you can bring more, this combo is all you need for great results.
Just don't rely on a kit lens — I want you to go home with exciting images!
Contact me if you have any questions.
If you need to cancel:
Cancellations on or before September 13th will receive a full refund minus any processing fees. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after September 13th. You may try to sell your spot, and we will assist if there’s a waiting list.
Please note:
The workshop will proceed as planned unless there is continuous severe weather, such as torrential rain. Overcast skies and intermittent showers are part of the creative process, and we will find ways to work with the available light. If needed, the alternate rain date is Oct 5th , same time, same location.
