      About this trip

You don't want to miss this opportunity to be up close and personal with the baby gray whales of San Ignacio Lagoon! The Whale Safari Tour is our most popular excursion, so we have several trips during the peak season to accommodate everyone who wants to participate in the indescribable experience.

Hundreds of Pacific gray whales return to their traditional breeding and birthing grounds in sheltered San Ignacio Lagoon on Mexico's Baja Peninsula every winter. Friendly and engaging, they are often intrigued with humans, swimming right up to our open boats. We may see mothers "showing off" and sharing their babies with us as we frequently interact with them up close. The whales entertain us with breaching and spy-hopping, and we sometimes observe mating behavior as well. The Pacific gray whale migration from Alaska's Bering Sea to the warm waters of Baja's Pacific lagoons is the longest mammal migration on Earth. Nearly hunted to extinction in the past, these gentle giants have made a dramatic comeback and today show little fear.

When you come with us to Baja to see them, you'll be forever spoiled for whale watching because it doesn't get any better than this! Once you look into the eyes of these magnificent, spiritual creatures and hold your hand out for them to touch you, your life will never be the same!

Great captains and first mates. Boats were comfortable and well equipped. Plenty to do and see in Abaco. Weather, friendships, sailing and food did not disappoint. Shout out to captains Katie Scott and Mo Morrow who handled an unexpected tragic situation with clear and compassionate skill. They are the best! I would go anywhere with them.

Had a fantastic time! Captain Holly and first mate Nicky made this a safe, fun, crazy, and very professionally run trip. The boat was first class, the meals abundant and super tasty. The Ábacos are a lovely collection of Islands offering a variety of beautiful white sandy beaches, fun beach bars and interesting history. Another great Rendezvous for the books!! Looking forward to #10🥰

Once again, I enjoyed the people on our boat, especially skipper Paulette and first mate Paula. We ate well and visited several anchorages. A splendid time was had by all

This was a very special, wondrous trip. All the people at the whale camp were so accomodating. We learned a lot about whales. They have so much respect for the whale families. I saw many historical sites in land as well. We loved the beaches and the Oasis Hotel. Our group was cohesive. Thank you to Katie for being our leader. I'm glad to have met Hollie on the trip. I recommend this trip for adults and families.

This was my second trip and both times I had a great time! It was a bummer with all the boat issues and having a late start but I know that wasn't Holly's fault. Everyone on our boat got along fantastic! I really enjoyed the additional day at Tobacco Caye. Loved the snorkeling and mingling with everyone on all boats 🧡 I truly believe I made life long friends! Thank you 🩵
