Gray and Humpback Whale expedition Jan 23-28 2025.

This is your chance to get up close and personal by snorkeling with Gray whales at the San Ignacio lagoon with whale mothers and calfs!

This is not a SCUBA diving or snorkeling trip, so you can leave all the extra gear at home - just bring along a camera.

During this trip, we'll fly round trip from Madison WI to Cabo San Lucas Mexico to spend 2 nights at the Casa Bella boutique hotel in Cabo San Lucas.    This is a beautiful boutique motel within walking distance of several tourist sites. 

The first morning after a continental breakfast, you will participate in Backscatter photo workshop where you can learn the tips and tricks to capturing the best wildlife pictures.   

That afternoon, we embark on a boat Humpback Whale watching tour.   We will have the chance to see Humpback whales in their natural habitat where they give birth and raise their calfs in the first few weeks of life.  

The next day, we'll take a private flight to San Ignacio where we will spend 3 nights in the desert at the world famous Reserva de la Biosfera El Vizcaino.  This is a vast coastal wildlife sanctuary harboring endangered native land & marine species, including whales.

You'll be right there in the desert marine life reserve, but definitely NOT roughing it!   You'll be " Glamping"  in a luxury tent with heat, air conditioning, ensuite bathroom and shower.    All meals included including coffee, water, and tea.  

The highlight of the trip will be the opportunity to see, experience and actually touch the magnificent Gray Whales ( both the mothers and the calfs ).     You will never get a better opportunity to experience such a close up view of whales in their natural environment.
