Travel south from Muscat to the pale dunes and open coast of Al Khaluf in a fully equipped 4x4, with a coastal break near Al Ashkharah or another suitable stop.

Pause along the route near Al Ashkharah or another suitable coastal stop, depending on the final driving plan.
Lunch at Local Restaurant
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in a coastal town before continuing toward Mahout and Al Khaluf.
Arrival in Al Khaluf
Prepare the vehicle for off-road sand and coastal terrain before continuing with a local route plan.
Explore Coastal Rock Formations
Explore a confirmed coastal cave or rock formation with the guide. Access depends on tides, terrain and current local conditions.
Travel to White Dunes Camp
Travel through the pale dunes to the confirmed campsite and settle into the remote coastal setting.
Late-Afternoon Dune Walk
Walk to a suitable dune crest for expansive views of sand and sea. Sunset views depend on weather and orientation.
Barbecue Dinner
Enjoy a freshly prepared barbecue dinner beside the campfire where fires are permitted.
Overnight Wilderness Camp
Relax beneath the night sky before retiring to your prepared tent at the remote coastal campsite.
Day 2
Day 2 - Morning among the White Dunes
Morning Dunes, Beach Time, Return to Muscat
Coastal Morning
Wake to the early light over the dunes and sea, weather permitting.
Breakfast at Camp
Enjoy breakfast with hot tea and coffee.
Dune and Beach Time
Walk, photograph the landscape or relax near camp. Sea entry is allowed only when the guide considers currents, waves and tides safe.
Return Journey

Muscat
Leave the campsite and begin the long drive back to Muscat.
Lunch En Route
Pause for lunch during the return journey.
Hotel Drop-Off
Arrive in Muscat, subject to traffic, road and off-road conditions.
Remote landscapes of the Al Khaluf white dunes. Coastal rock formations or cave when safely accessible. Private off-road 4x4 journey. Overnight wilderness camp near the coast. Freshly prepared barbecue dinner.
