About this trip
For the past 32 years the Whitehouse High School Band has taken a trip, every other year, at the end of school and this coming school year 2023-2024, is our year to take that trip. The band will return to Washington D.C and perform at any available location, preferably the World War II Memorial. This will be the 7th time that the program has made this trip and it is one that is very enjoyable and extremely educational. The excitement of performing in our Nation’s Capital is a performance of a lifetime.
What's included
Length: 6 Days (5 Nights)
* Three (3) nights accommodations in a Deluxe Hotel
* Deluxe continental breakfast included daily
* Tour of Capitol Hill, including the Supreme Court, Library of Congress, and the Capitol (subject to availability)
* Excursion to the Jefferson Memorial, Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, FDR Memorial, Navy Memorial, Air Force Memorial and Iwo Jima Memorial
* Excursion to Arlington National Cemetery, including the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the graves of John F. and Jackie Kennedy and Robert Kennedy
* Participation in the US Military Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown (wreath not included) (subject to availability)
* Excursion to the Smithsonian Institution Museums and National Archives
* Participation in Freedom Celebration, including a performance at the World War II Memorial (No chairs or stands included)
* Illuminated Tour including: Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial, Library of
Congress & Kennedy Center, and drive by the White House and the Capitol
* Official licensed Washington, DC tour guide for Illuminated Tour (one per bus)
* Excursion to Mt. Vernon Estate, home of George and Martha Washington, including admission
* Meal Voucher at Mt Vernon
* DJ Dinner Cruise aboard Spirit of Washington
* Meal at Buca di Beppo
* Meal voucher at Pentagon City Mall
* Four (4) additional meals TBD ($15 face value each)
