About this trip

My1FitLife Grand Canyon Whitewater Rafting Adventure

We launched this Adventure last year and it sold out in 10 minutes, so we knew we needed to get this one back on the books!! Now is your chance to make it happen!

Why not combine the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon with the powerful, exhilarating Colorado River to create the ideal western trip? The Grand Canyon river tour is the premier white water rafting trip in the American West. The eight-night Grand Canyon river tour covers the entire length of the Grand Canyon, beginning at Lee’s Ferry and ending at Lake Mead. This trips combines world class white water with breathtaking scenery to make one unforgettable river experience.

Your trip begins at the Marble Canyon Lodge, in Arizona, where you spend the first night preparing for your trip. That evening you will meet your guide for an orientation meeting where you can ask questions and get any last minute items. You can also purchase beer and wine at Marble Canyon.

The following morning you pack your duffel bag and depart for Lee’s Ferry where the boats will be waiting for you. After your bags are packed on the boat everyone gets on and your rafting trip begins.

For the next seven days you will run exciting rapids like Houserock, Hance, Hermit, Granite Falls, Crystal, Lava Falls, and many more. You will see beautiful side canyons and swimming holes including Little Colorado, Elves Chasm, Deer Creek, Havasu Creek, and Travertine Falls. Each morning you will be greeted by the beautiful song of the Canyon Wren and the smell of hot coffee brewing in the kitchen. Your guide will prepare you a hot breakfast every morning which includes fresh fruit and fruit juice. For lunch you will have sandwiches with all the trimmings. Tour West provides cold water and lemonade at all times as well as candy bars and fruit for snacks during the day. At night all your gear will be unloaded, this includes your personal duffel bag and your cot. While you are setting up your camp your guide will be preparing a hearty dinner of steak and potato or chicken and pasta. Each dinner also has a vegetable with a fresh tossed salad and your choice of dressing. After dinner you are free to explore the canyon or sit on your cot and watch a beautiful sunset and listen to the music of the river. The last 34 miles of your trip are spent traveling between the sheer walls and graceful tiers of the upper stretches of beautiful Lake Mead. At trip’s end, you will be transported to Las Vegas airport by bus.

You can take anyone into the gym and motivate them to live fit for a day, but if you take them into nature, you can inspire them for life! That's the motto of Michelle Steinke-Baumgard and Keith Baumgard from My1FitLife. Six years ago, Michelle and Keith joined together and started what has become much more than just a fitness company; they have created a tribe, a community and a feeling that inspires you long after you leave their retreats. Michelle and Keith take fitness up a notch and remind you that living fit is not about making your body smaller, but instead, fitness is about making your life BIGGER!!! When you come for a retreat with My1FitLife you will accomplish big things; you will learn to be brave, to explore, to stretch your boundaries and to live your life to the fullest.

Michelle and Keith are incredible people, and the amount that they have to offer goes waaayyy beyond from what you see on their social accounts. The company, scenery, housing and food was impeccable!! I felt safe and secure as we ventured out into a couple activities that were definitely [previously] outside my comfort zone. I seriously cannot wait to attend another immersion or adventure trip! Looking forward to the next whenever that may be ☺
Fabulous trip! All the details were handled so all I needed to do was show up with my suitcase. The accommodations were comfortable and accommodating. Extra care was taken to keep us save with COVID (suggested pre-trip COVID tests, mask wear, etc.). Nice balance of activities and down-time. A variety of activities were provided. I especially loved the canyoneering/rappelling! :-) Michelle and Keith were excellent hosts/guides and made the trip a fun experience while also imparting a lot of valuable information. Can't wait to do another!
This was my first trip with this group and I was blown away! The people were amazing and 8 days on the Canyon filled my soul. So much adventuring from the big rapids to the hiking in the Canyon. I would highly recommend this group. Our outfitters Tour West were also excellent guides and super patient. The meals were amazing and they took great care in ensuring everyone was safe and having a good time. If you like adventure and want to do a bucket list trip with amazing people, this is for you!
The experience was great, the scenery was magnificent, the group of individuals was awesome and the guides were very skilled and had great stories to tell. It was a trip I would do again with this group. Thank you for the great adventure
Nothing but high praise for the whole trip: the initial meet and greet at dinner with our hosts Keith and Michelle, meeting the guides who would safely pilot us through amazing scenery and epic rapids, the camaraderie of, well, all of us, the amazing meals that were made by our guides before and after an often challenging day on the river, the daily hikes, the night camping under the stars, the challenges each day brought and the realization that you CAN do hard things and so much more. If you love the outdoors in any capacity, I highly recommend this trip of a lifetime. It will change you in so many (good) ways.

The Utah immersion was a fantastic experience. I have traveled to and explored this area before on my own but the adventures planned with guides were truly places and moments I don’t think I could have ever had on a solo visit. On top of that, the rest, recuperation and relaxation pieces during this trip were the escape that I very much needed!
