About this trip

Wild Farm Summer Camp

Co-hosted by Tim the Girl and Debby Andersen

Finally. A summer camp, for grown-ups.

Wild Farm Summer Camp is five days of deep rest, quiet joy, and the particular pleasure of having nowhere to be and nothing to prove. A chance to forget, for a moment, everything you’re supposed to be doing, and remember who you actually are.

We live in a world that rewards the doing. The achievement. The results. But the parts that stay with you — the parts that actually change your life — are the small things. A song that found you around a fire. A conversation that shifted something. An afternoon on a blanket in the sun that reminded you what your body feels like when it isn’t rushing.

That’s what we’re making space for here. Arts and crafts. Singing. Dancing. Hiking. Swimming. Fire. Playing. Cooking. Resting. Whatever resonates. At your own pace, in your own way. A gentle, joyful integration of everything you already are, and everything you’re still becoming.

Wild Farm Summer Camp is personally co-hosted by Tim "the girl" McDiarmid and Debby Andersen. We’ll be there for all of it. Hiking with you. Sitting around the fire. Sharing stories. Introducing you to the locals we love. Showing you the secret beaches and the back roads and the places that don’t make it onto any map.

This is retreat is an invitation into our world — for five days, you’re part of it.

Salt Spring Island & Stowel Lake Farm

Salt Spring Island sits in a Mediterranean microclimate inside the Pacific Northwest rainforest — warm dry summers, ancient trees, secret ocean beaches, and working organic farms. Part of the Gulf Islands Archipelago in the Salish Sea, off the coast of British Columbia.

This island is part of Tim’s history. British Columbia has been woven into her life for years — the land, the water, the people, the particular quality of light on the Salish Sea. This experience is an invitation into her world: her favourite beaches and back roads, the locals she loves, the stories she’s been carrying. Debby brings the body wisdom. Tim brings you home.

Stowel Lake Farm is a thriving organic farm, retreat centre and community on Salt Spring Island, BC. The Farm hosts a wide variety of wellness, spiritual and personal development retreats. Yoga, meditation and dance courses, music camps, and wilderness-based soul work programs come through the farm every year.

Farming the land has always been central to our lives here on Stowel Lake, and it binds us together as a community. In the last 5 years, under the leadership of Meghan, our head farmer, we have transitioned our market garden from organic to regenerative. We have done this by using no-till methods, reducing our inputs, interplanting, focusing on open pollinated varieties, surrounding every garden with pollinator gardens and planting more perennial plants. There are approximately 2 acres of market garden currently in production. We grow vegetables, flowers, fruit, berries and seeds. Everything we grow is sold directly to the consumer from our Farm Stand, used for retreats, or shared within the Stowel Lake Farm community.

Stowel Lake Farm respectfully acknowledges that we are located on unceded territory of the Hulqumi’num and Sencoten speaking peoples whose histories, languages and cultures continue to influence our vibrant community.
