About your trip

Wild + Free

Mother + Child Equine Journey

An invitation to step out of the pace of everyday life
and into a more connected way of being

Held in the Costa Rican highlands, this week offers a different rhythm

Days soften
Time opens
Connection returns

Horses, nature, and shared experience guide the retreat

Not a schedule to follow
But a way of being to step into

For a small number of families who feel the pull toward something quieter, deeper, and more connected

The Experience

Each day unfolds in a natural rhythm shaped by the land, the horses, and the needs of the group

Mornings begin slowly
Time at the barn
Shared meals

Children spend their days immersed in riding, horse care, and forest school exploration
Learning through movement, play, and direct experience

Mothers are supported in their own experience
Riding
Equine connection
Yoga and gentle movement
Time for rest and reflection

Afternoons open into space
Swimming
Rest
Optional bodywork

During the week, we share a visit to nearby natural hot springs
An optional cacao farm experience is available

Evenings are simple
Shared meals
Conversation
Time together as the day softens

Spacious, supported, and gently held from beginning to end

A Gentle Daily Rhythm

Morning
Slow start
Time with the horses
Shared breakfast

Midday
Children in riding and forest school
Mothers in their own yoga practice or rest
Lunch together

Afternoon
Open space
Swimming, rest, or quiet exploration

Included (although optional) excursions to hot springs and a cacao farm

Evening
Dinner together
Unhurried connection
Soft closing to the day

This is a living rhythm.

A rhythm children settle into. A pace mothers remember.

(Days shift gently in response to weather, energy, and the needs of the group.)

The Land + Horses

Set in the mountain highlands, the land offers space, fresh air, and quiet

Open pastures
Jungle edges
A slower pace of living

Families stay in comfortable, thoughtfully designed spaces
With room to gather and room to be alone

Meals are prepared fresh each day
Shared, unhurried, and nourishing

The horses live in rhythm with the land

They are not used
They are met

Through riding and ground connection
Through quiet presence

Children build confidence through trust
Mothers experience connection without pressure

Care, respect, and listening guide every interaction

Rider guidelines:

• General riding limit: 85 kg / 170 lbs
• Beginner riders: 70 kg / 154 lbs
