We will hike, practice yoga, enjoy shared bodywork and sit quietly in the presence of the great California coast.
This will be a moderately rated backpacking and yoga retreat, so don’t be shy. Beginners who have the appropriate health and fitness necessary for safe travels are welcome. This trip is also perfect for seasoned excursionists who would like to slow down and integrate mindfulness practice into their wilderness adventure.
Participants will carry their own backpacks weighing 30 to 40 pounds with distances of 4 to 8 miles daily over rocky, sandy, and remote terrain.

Day 1: Meet at Mattole Campground for a welcome circle and preparing for the journey ahead
Day 2: Shuttle brings us to Shelter Cove and we begin our hike to Black Sands beach
Day 3: Morning Yoga, hike across creeks, lunch and meditation, beaches and seaside cliffs
Day 4: Morning Yoga, Likely encounters Elephant seals, Sea lions, Otters and birdlife
Day 5: Morning Yoga, hike to a lighthouse, end the hike at Mattole Campground and head home
