About this trip

Join us for a 9-day women's journey into the mystical energy of Keros. This sacred immersion will be based on the enchanting island of Koufonisia, which looks out to the uninhabited island of Keros, one of the most mysterious islands in Greece.

Supported by the wild beauty of the earth and a community of fellow mystics, we will honor the healers of antiquity and our own ancestors as we grow our capacity to lead, heal, commune, and celebrate Life.

We will approach the trip as a pilgrimage into the mystical energy of the small Cyclades, specifically into the artistic and ritual practices of Keros--a tiny island which is believed to be one of the oldest healing art centers in the world. Heartfelt ritual has always been practiced as a sacred art. Throughout the week, the energy of Keros will be our guide in attuning us to the land, ritual, and our own artistic expression. We will learn how to be in right relationship with the land through offerings and honoring practices and find deeper levels of healing that are truly reciprocal, restorative, and supportive for all life on earth.

Greece is known for holding the vibration of myth and legend. By deepening our connection with her land, waters, and the stars and planets that guide our way, we will find ways to weave our own medicine stories. As we enter this portal of metaphor held in the land of Keros, we will have access to a time of pure creative potential, a place where we can remember and embody our true essence.

In group sessions (on our teaching balcony that looks out to a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea and surrounding islands), we will practice creative ritual, meditation, the art of ceremony, sculpture, journaling, and other ways to access deeper layers of healing and wholeness. We will ground in daily somatic and yoga practices to help us integrate and embody our experience. Our journey will also include swimming in the gorgeous crystal clear waters of the Aegean, kayaking around the mystical small Cyclades, meditating in sea caves, dancing and singing on the beaches under the brightness of the stars and the full moon, eating delicious Greek foods, taking reflective time in nature, and making a pilgrimage to the sacred land of Keros.

Our goal is to deeply feel, integrate, and heal so that we can step into our power as artistic, ritual guides for ourselves and our communities.

Join us for this grounding, soul-growing journey.

About Keros:
Since the 1950s, various archeological expeditions have found collectections of small feminine sculptures on Keros, which corroborate the belief that the island was a pilgrimage site for sacred rituals in the Aegean dating back to 4000 BC. Many believe this is the oldest known sanctuary in Greece, predating the Greek gods and goddesses and the Minoan and Mycenaean civilizations of early Greece. Keros was likely a place where the elements and essential energies such as land, stars, water, and fire were honored as a way to experience the holiness of life. Currently, Keros is uninhabited by humans, but the rugged landscape is home to wild goats and bees.

About Koufonisia:
Koufonisia is a pair of two secluded islands (Kato & Pano Koufonisi) surrounded by the gorgeous turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea. Pano Koufonisi, the only inhabited island of the two, is home to a small, idyllic Greek village filled with beauty, charm, and culture. There are few cars on the island and everything is in walking distance. Nearby, Keros is in full view and accessible by kayak or private boat charter.
