Join us on the Wilde Tracks Collaboration Mission—an immersive field experience where science meets adventure. Travel deep into Ecuador’s breathtaking cloud forests to support real-world conservation efforts alongside expert biologists. Whether you're a student, nature enthusiast, or early-career scientist, this mission is your chance to make a tangible impact on biodiversity protection while gaining valuable field skills.
What is a BioBlitz?
A bioblitz is a collaborative event where scientists, volunteers, and community members come together to document as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period. It's a powerful way to collect real-time biodiversity data while raising awareness about local ecosystems.
Live Among the Canopy
Stay in elegant eco-cabins perched on a cliffside at the edge of Ecuador’s cloud forest, surrounded by stunning biodiversity and breathtaking views.
Hands-On Field Research
Work alongside renowned biologists in herpetology, ornithology, entomology, and mammalogy. Contribute to rapid-response monitoring of the critically endangered Mindo Harlequin-Toad, set up light and pitfall traps to study elusive insects and leaf-litter species, and use mist nets to observe secretive understory birds. You’ll also record all birds seen or heard from key observation points throughout the reserve.
Train in Scientific Methods
Learn the art of scientific photography using standardized techniques to document wildlife. Develop practical skills in species monitoring, data collection, and field conservation.
Support Real Conservation Impact
Your participation directly supports the creation of two new protected areas in Ecuador—preserving some of the most unique and threatened habitats on Earth.
