Pick up at hotel (5:00 Am) transfer to Akagera National Park 2hours and a half from Kigali, this park is Rwanda's largest national park and covers an area of approximately 1,122 square kilometers (433 square miles). The park is known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. It's also home to predators like lions, leopards, and hyenas. Akagera National Park offers opportunities for safaris, game drives, and boat trips along the Akagera River. It's a beautiful destination for wildlife enthusiasts and those looking to experience the natural beauty of Rwanda. . 

Afternoon check in at Akagera Game Lodge and have lunch..

In the afternoon, you will take a boat trip on Lake Ihema and you will spot the water birds that include the rare shoebill stork most of the time. You can also get chance to view the hippos, nile crocodiles, and many other land animals including the antelopes, elephants, buffaloes and many more.

Immediately, you will return to the lodge and then enjoy a sun downer on the deck of the lodge were you will also enjoy a comforting fire plus the sounds of the African wild.

Second day starts with an exciting Game Drive in destination for wildlife enthusiasts and those looking to experience the natural beauty of Rwanda. You will start with game drive where you will get the opportunity to see over 11 species of antelopes, over 525 species of birds including the rare ones such as the shoe bill stock, papyrus gonolek and the big 5 i.e. Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant) to mention but a few. The park has the highest concentration of birds per square kilometer, very beautiful undulating landscapes, high species numbers and endemic species plus historical and cultural sites inside the park. You will explore The Rwandan Lake where you will see the elephants as well as the buffalos along the way. We shall then have a picnic lunch and then continue for a game drive where you will view animals including; zebras, impalas, waterbucks, topi, baboons, giraffes, cape elands and many more.

Early morning breakfast and transfers to Rubavu formerly Gisenyi a waterfront town on the shores of Lake Kivu, Rubavu is 6 hours away from the Akagera National Park. Rubavu, as well as other spots along Lake Kivu, has red sandy beaches, warm, clean water and an easygoing tropical character. It is a great place to unwind, soak up the tranquil vibe, watch the birds and enjoy various watersports.

on arrival, enjoy the beautiful scenery, explore and get a different perspective of the lake and its surroundings. It's a great way to appreciate the natural beauty of the area and unwind while taking in the views.

Explore the sandy beaches, warm, clean water of lake kivu. It is a great place to unwind, soak up the tranquil vibe, watch the birds and enjoy various watersports. Boat tour at Lake Kivu, these rides allow you to enjoy the beautiful scenery, visit nearby islands, and get a different perspective of the lake and its surroundings. It's one of the thrilling experiences and very adventurous as you try to adapt to the traditional hut homes and lifestyle. After lunch you will visit Nyamyumba Hot Springs are a natural wonder located in Rwanda. These hot springs, also known as "Amashyuza," are situated near Lake Kivu in the Nyamyumba area. The hot springs are known for their warm and mineral-rich waters, and they are believed to have therapeutic properties. Visitors can soak in the natural hot pools and enjoy the relaxation and rejuvenation that the warm water provides. The surroundings of the Nyamyumba Hot Springs are also quite scenic, making it a tranquil place to visit. A unique experience  combines both natural beauty and potential health benefits from the mineral-rich waters

 After breakfast, you will transfer to Karongi. This is a pretty lakeside town of Karongi is home to a wide variety of exotic birds and colorful plants. Lake Kivu, the Rwanda is most attractive of lake ports, nestled in a series of interwoven and undulating hills and offering visitors spectacular views of the lake, its islands and the stunning surrounding countryside. Karongi is one of Rwanda’s hidden treasures, with its lush green hills and peaceful breeze. Paddling across the coastline of Lake Kivu by boat ride is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the scenic, mountainous backdrop and tranquility of the water. The clear, pristine lake has an irregular shoreline, dotted with islands. There are no hippos or crocodiles, making it a safe and seamless experience. Boat excursion in Lake Kivu to Napoleon Island famous for its fruit bats. Visit Amahoro and monkey island. After you will proceed to Kigali for Overnight
