What's included

Meals and Snacks

3 healthy, delicious meals per day, plus snacks.

Comfortable accomodation

High Camp is a spacious mountain lodge with 6 bedrooms. You will sleep in a comfortable bed with flannel sheets and a blanket. We will provide a towel and washcloths.

Guided Nature Walks

Explore the landscape around the Hut with your instructors, taking in the forests, the flowers and the mountain vistas.

Guided Workshops

You will learn about the wildflowers at High Camp, and participate in watercolor painting lessons. All levels welcome!

Evening Activities

Evenings spent connecting with others around the campfire or soaking in the outdoor wood-fired hot tub

Our Location

High Camp is 320 pristine acres in the the high San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado. The property is surrounded by Forest Service land. High Camp is held as a conservation easement.

What's not included

No WiFi or Cell Service

There is no WiFi at High Camp but we promise you a better connection!

We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance in the unexpected event that you need to cancel.

High up in the mountains of Colorado, High Camp Hut is a two-story backcountry hut nestled into 320 acres of privately held land sitting in 2 million acres of San Juan National Forest. The hut sits at 11,000 feet above sea level in the San Juan National Forest, with views of Lizardhead, the Wilsons, and Sheep Mountain. Drive 15 miles from Telluride, CO, and access to the Hut is a short 2.5-mile hike, ski, jog, or bike from Hwy 145.
