Birdwatching Experience
North Seymour & Santa Cruz Islands

North Seymour Island is a small landmass located an hour away from the Itabaca

Channel on the north side of Santa Cruz. This rocky island is home to the most

impressive colonies of different species of animals. While exploring the island you will find great frigate birds, also you will encounter some blue-footed boobies in courtship dance or just guarding their eggs. There is also a colony of sea lions who love to play and swim and close to them, the marine iguanas sunbathing and relaxing on the rocks.

After a delicious lunch onboard The M/Y WindRose, your next exploration is to Bachas Beach, a beautiful coralline beach that is perfect for snorkeling, swimming or simply enjoying the white soft sand. Several brackish lagoons only a few steps away from the sea are the feeding grounds of various wading birds, from stilts to flamingos.

We had an amazing time. The Windrose crew was wonderful and Carla is a fantastic guide. The food was incredible. It could not have been better.

The wooden house was clean and comfortable. The food was good, and the staff was friendly. The pool was unusable. Green water. The thing that really bothered us is that when I asked about booking tours, looking for a tour group reference, someone offered to book it for us. We did that, only to learn we laid almost double for our two tours.
