See that pic in the post ... that's us.  In all our melanated glory, enjoying what is hands down, one of our best summer activities.

This year we will be doing in a little different, sprinkling our BlackGirl  magic across Long island, at not one but three famous locations. 

On this day trip, we will have head to Wine County via an air conditioned passenger bus. Once we arrive we will enjoy a 5 flight wine tasting at Raphael's, one of the most stellar wineries on the island.  

From there, we head to lunch at a waterfront restaurant and finish the day off at one of the most amazing lavender fields. Enjoy a day sipping wine, good company and the crisp fresh air.

  • Enjoy the remainder of the day at the amazing, and delightful Lavender by the Bay.  If you've never been, google it, but rest assured the pics do not do this place justice!  It is soothing, beautiful and relaxing, but most of all it smells divine.

NOTES ON CANCELLATIONS:

Please note this trip is NON REFUNDABLE once you book, UNLESS someone can take your place. This is not a COVID related policy, the operator has always had this rule. 

In order to attempt to get someone to fill your seat, you MUST notify via text (917.355.3515) and email (sas@melanintraveltribe.com) as soon as you think you will need to cancel. Changes must be posted in the comments for other members to see, in the event they are able to join.

In the event that someone cannot take your place, the operator now offers unlimited reschedules, meaning that they now offer changes to the date. You will be given an on file credit (minus a cancelation fee) that you can use for any of their future trips (even if it isn't hosted by BGU).

There are no refunds or reschedules for missing the bus or no-shows. There is no grace period after the departure time.

HEALTH AND SAFETY:

Masks are required. Bus operates at 60% capacity. It is the expectation that members will follow all recent state AND establishment guidelines, as well as their own judgement to remain safe.
