      About this trip

Welcome to your perfect break in the Pacific Northwest, where giant trees frame snowy volcanoes and plump rivers rush to the ocean. Spend a full day exploring the vineyards and waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge with an expert guide and driver. Forge new connections while exploring Oregon’s history and the great outdoors.

Your day begins when our private driver picks you up in downtown Portland. Hop in and we are off to the Columbia River Gorge, one of the most beautiful areas in Oregon. Our first stop is Waterfall Alley and a short walk (.5 mi) to the base of Latourell Falls.

On this tour, you will partake in a series of short walks and visits. This allows us to see more of Waterfall Alley than a longer hike to just one falls would. It also means this trip is accessible to hikers of all skill levels.

Next up on our itinerary is the iconic Bridal Veil Falls where we will pause for a short stroll to the viewing platform. Feel the mist coming off this powerful waterfall and take in the sylvan landscape common in this region of the state.

En route to the Hood River area, our group will stop in for a quick look at Starvation Creek Falls and admire the drama of this mossy cascade.

At this point in our journey, you will have worked up an appetite for lunch. It’s time to trade waterfalls for vino and head over to our first winery where we will imbibe local reds and whites while enjoying a delicious boxed lunch.

Fortified, we are off to another round of tasting at one more winery. Maybe you will find a new blend to take home to pair dinner?

As we make our way back to Portland, we will pull over to see the queen of all the waterfalls and the highest in Oregon: Multnomah Falls. Snowmelt and rainfall fuel this cascade, which drops 620 feet into a frothing pool below, a dramatic end to our day of waterfall visits.

Inclusions: transportation, knowledgeable guide, light morning snack and coffee, wine tasting, catered boxed lunch, afternoon cookie!

Stay the Night: You have two choices—sign up for just the day tour ($250) or stay 2 nights in downtown Portland and get to know the city ( 2 nights in a hotel + day tour $625). Select the option you want during check out.  If you chose the hotel option, you will arrive on the 16th and check out on the 18th.

      $250: Day tour only

$625: Day tour + 2 nights in a lovely downtown Portland hotel (private room)

The experience for a first time snowshoer was great. Our guide / instructor was awesome. And it was so convenient of being driven to and from the snowshoeing location.

I had so much fun! I was worried about my physical ability to snowshoe and nervous about meeting a group of strangers, but things could not have been better or gone more smoothly. There was excellent communication from the event organizers, we had a great tour guide, everyone I met was lovely, the snowshoeing itself was manageable for my ability, and it was a wonderful memorable day. Definitely recommend the day trips or longer with this group.

This trip did not disappoint ! Despite the daily rain, quite magical, it was a beautiful, enjoyable and energizing trip The guides, Caroline and Raquel were amazing and had such good energy! They and Bold Spirit had everything organized and allowed me to “ not worry about a thing” They were knowledgeable , caring and fun! They dealt with any situation with great empathy and calmness This trip was also delicious.. maybe a walk and food tour of the Camino! This was a trip of a lifetime one I. Hope I will never forget! The process of “ bonding” with the women was also quite amazing and special I will be back!

Thank you, Robin, for taking a moment to leave us this detailed review. I know you all had some rain on this trip but it's good to see that it was still magical. Hope to see you on another trail in the future. Thanks again.

I really enjoyed the Camino walk. Our 3 guides each brought their own style yet complimented one another so well. The other women were fun and interesting. The trip was well organized, accommodations great, food wonderful. I liked the itinerary sheet received each day especially the back that talked about the area we would be passing through that day. The trip was everything I hoped it would be. Thank you Bold Spirit!
