About this trip

Hibernating over the winter? Travel like a local, go off the beaten path and take a road trip around CALABARZON, an administrative region south of the capital which comprises five provinces: Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon.

If you want to see, learn about and eat your way through in my beautiful country as much as possible, without worrying about organizing or driving, then this is the perfect tour for you.

Highlights of the Trip

Villa Escudero
A self-contained working coconut plantation. Enjoy the Philippine Experience show and watch the country’s cultural legacy come to life. Paddle a native bamboo raft on still waters of the river. Be serenaded with classic Filipino songs while on a carabao-pulled carriage on your way to a dining experience of authentic Filipino dishes, kamayan style (option to eat with your hands) by the waterfalls, the sound of rushing water with your feet submerged in cool water.

Mount Banahaw Valley
Staying at a nature reserve, also an organic farm, nestled between the mountains of Mt. Banahaw and Mt. Cristobal (devil’s mountain) it is a comfortable haven for weekend trekkers, bird watchers and anyone who wants to escape to a cool and quiet retreat. One gets a magnificent view of two mountains interacting with the moods of sun, the wind and the rain, constantly changing.
Mount Banahaw is considered a "holy mountain", known for its mystical spirituality. It is one of the most popular hiking spots and pilgrimage sites in the Philippines.

Taal Volcano
Said to be the world's smallest active volcano and the second most active volcano in the Philippines. Board an outrigger boat for the 30-minute trip across the lake to Taal Volcano Island. Trek uphill through the hardened black lava to the rim of the crater, where you will have impressive views down into the green lake beneath, as well as the Taal Lake itself.

Pagsanjan Falls
One of the most famous waterfalls in the Philippines, shoot the rapids for an exciting adventure. The boat ride consists of a 17-kilometer trip in a bangka (local boat). Passing through gorges over a hundred feet high with several waterfalls, all the while guided by two boatmen strategically placed at each end. Don't miss the exhilarating raft ride that will bring you right under the main falls and into the devil's cave!

I’m a Yoga Teacher with an unbeatable passion and a unique approach to teaching — one that is inspirational and embodies the physical, spiritual, and emotional aspects of wellbeing. I have been a full-time yoga teacher since completing my 500-hour teacher training course in 2009 with the Krishnamacharya Healing Yoga Foundation (KHYF) in London. In January 2016 I embarked on a new adventure organizing and planning yoga holidays and retreats. Combining my love of travel and yoga I found the perfect complement to my yoga teaching. Seeing the world with different eyes we immerse ourselves in the culture of the countries we visit, get to know the locals and their customs while infusing our practice with the sights and sounds of each place. Having been introduced to yoga through the Brahma Kumaris, I learned Raja Yoga and meditation in 2003. Since then, I have explored different traditions incorporating tools that support my practice. Yoga is a very important part of my life.
