About this trip

Giving and Receiving: Exploring the Yield and the Push

The first 3 people to sign up get a 45 minute private session with me!

Give and Receive with clarity and grace as we dive deeper into the embodied experience of the "Yield and the Push."  Nourish your Self as we  find deeper and more relevant ways to "surrender" without losing our sense of self, and instead of pushing the world away,  we "push" into the center of our Selves.  Feel clearer, brighter, more grounded, and have more capacity to stay true to yourself in this season of Giving and Receiving.  in the season of give and take, giving and receiving, doing and being.

Blend and explore different movement modalities from the work of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, as well as "traditional" yoga poses. Deep relaxation is part of this nourishing content, so be prepared to be re-calibrated and refreshed!

Lodging at Chez Mazzei for up to 6 people. There is a queen bed, a double futon,  and 2 double/queen air mattresses. First come first served. After that, bring your own. We have a third airbed, but don’t know how well it holds air. You are welcome to gamble on it.

Floor sleepers can bunk in with someone on the carpeted floor in a bedroom, or the uncarpeted yoga room floor. If you want more space, or the 6 sleeping spots get booked, you can stay in town.

Saturday lunch is provided. For the rest, we either chip in on group meals, go out to a nearby restaurant, or you can be on your own. There is a refrigerator for your goodies.

If you fly into Medford, John or I will pick you up at the Medford airport (15 minutes away).

845 South Oregon is a short walk to the town of Jacksonville. Good chai, coffee, and food awaits.

2) SCHEDULE:

Classes, dharma talks and privates on Saturday and Sunday. I’m thinking this schedule (times are flexible)

Saturday

10am-1 - dharma talk and asana/movement exploration

1-4 — we decide (hikes, wine tasting, alone time, perhaps do privates)

4:30-6:30 — roll around practice

6:30 - make dinner as a group or go out (walk) to a cool restaurant

after dinner - whatever we want

Sunday

Before 10 - individual practice, hike, etc..

9:30am-1 - dharma talk and asana

1- Whatever we want,: possible privates with Jean, holiday shopping in quaint and historic Jacksonville, and more!

6pm - Dinner together and departures begin.

Monday - departures by 10 if possible.

What makes this so special is that we will have time to “cook” in the energy as we hang out. I know from experience, this is a super potent way of “getting” the material.

What’s not included

  • Saturday lunch provided
  • bring your yoga props

This is a very interesting workshop. I would love to complete all digital sessions. Jean, as usual are great, and generously shared her wisdom with us.

What a trip! Lovely group of ladies, amazing food - and great Yoga. Thanks Jean. Sometimes, you just gotta give yourself the "win". :) Every time I spend time with you, I grow. Thank you again. Can't wait until the next one.
