Upon arrival you will be escorted to your house's dormitory. You will meet your fellow house members and start to bond. Harry Potter Themed Snacks will be available pre-training as well as coffee. Icebreaker and training session 1.

Harry Potter Themed Party
Begin the day with a nice breakfast followed by training session 2. As a house, we will embark on a local excursion for the evenings festivities. Training session 3 will be followed by a Harry Potter Themed Party. Think bubbling cauldrons, contests, house games and tasty treats. The evening will culminate in a local haunted house.

Exploring Salem & Scavenger Hunt
After morning training sessions (4/5) and breakfast, we will depart for Salem, MA. We will be spending the entire day taking in all that it has to offer during its magical Haunted Happenings. House Teams will partake in an epic scavenger hunt to secure ingredients for a potion to defeat an evil adversary. After the hunt, teams will be free to aimlessly wander the town, shop and eat. We will stay until the evening and partake in a ghost walking tour.

Farewells
We will partake in one last training session, followed by a departure light breakfast. Say our farewells, shed a few tears...and be on our separate ways, until next time of course.

This was an amazing time with the best group of practitioners. We shared great Jiu Jitsu techniques and rounds, and were guided to the best events in New Orleans for the entire experience. The energy created by April and Katie keeps every moment flowing. Endless fun and excellent learning opportunities with some of the greatest. I highly recommend you join in for one of these Grappling Getaways.

Grappling Getaways camps are the absolute best! The itineraries are always well thought out and amazing. I always meet such amazing ladies and fellow grapplers and the instruction is world class and top notch in Gi and No Gi. Halloween Camps are by far my favorite and I cannot Waite for next year! This trip was awesome, we encountered some hiccups but April and Katie did a great job in taking care of things. Jujitsu instruction was excellent, I’ve already incorporated some elements in my rolling. Thanks for a great time!

This grappling getaways event was a great first experience. The material we learned during drilling has stuck with me, both Aprils and Katies personalities are radiating, real and honorable. The extra activities became a little overwhelming for me because I had fomo and didn't want to not go to them but after the long training hours I definitely needed more rest time. I would have liked at least one group or optional self care activity like Maybe going to a night class at yoga or group meditation. overall 100x worth the 100$ we paid. Thank you for the immense effort and thought put into your camps.

We are glad that you enjoyed the experience and vouch for the value! While we always strongly encourage campers to attend as little or as much as they would like to, we do get the fear of FOMO. It's a really great idea to add an additional option for people who wish to stay lower key, but still be social with other attendees. We will take this into consideration when planning future camps .

This was my first getaway and it won’t be my last. This trip, these people and this experience was something my soul needed. I made lifelong friends, learned some killer techniques while vacationing in paradise. I got solid life advice for things I’m struggling w in my own business. Seeing such strong, powerful women be so down to earth and welcoming and loving just makes feel so grateful I made the trip….. next trip will be Mexico. See you soon Coaches!!!!

Highly recommend!! I've attended 3 amazing Grappling Getaway camps so far (and plan on attending many more) and each time is unique and awesome! April and Katie are exceptional women who truly love what they do! I appreciate so much the time and effort they take to connect with female struggles both on and off the mats, makes these camps unmatchable. Their attention to every detail, coupled with their incredible ability to just go with the flow, makes being in their presence an authentic jiu jitsu experience. They create such a welcoming, fun, and empowering experience, where friendships are seeded and your jiu jitsu grows! If you're wanting to feel empowered by strong women with great attitudes and open minds, you should DEFINITELY get to a Grappling Getaway ASAP!

April, and the other instructors with Grappling Getaways are THE BEST. Top notch human beings who are amazing at jiu jitsu and amazing at teaching. I’ve been to 3 Grappling Getaways events, and each has been so much fun, so inviting, encouraging, and appropriately challenging for what was advertised. I’ve met so many incredible female leaders and role models through Grappling Getaways. HIGHLY recommended :)
