About this trip

A Yoga & Creative Art Journaling Retreat just for women.

Allow this time for you and escape to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia for some self-care and self-exploration. Be inspired by the breathtaking colors of the fall landscape. Get in touch with your inner child and  and rediscover yourself through creative art journaling, a process of play exploration and experiment with words, color and images that has been shown to lowers stress levels as effectively as meditation. Bring healing and balance to the body and peace to the mind with Lymphatic Yoga®, a gentle practice that combines breath work, specific poses, and relaxation to restore and rejuvenate from the cellular level. This practice is suitable for all levels, including beginners. Let retreat leaders and long-time friends, Erin Jaszczak and Trish Petty, guide you through a much deserved, nurturing weekend of restoration and self discovery.

Meet our Retreat Leaders

Erin Jaszczak

Erin began practicing yoga more than 20 years ago and over the years found that the periods in her life when she let her practice fall away were the times she actually needed it the most. After committing to her personal practice seven years ago, she found healing from past traumas and conditions including metastatic breast cancer at the age of 37, depression, and autoimmune disorders. As an instructor and founder of Where in the World Yoga & Wellness, Erin's goal is to bring yoga to you, no matter where you are on your journey, by providing practical, accessible, and achievable yoga instruction and inspiration for everyBODY, with a special emphasis on beginners, returners and recovering bodies.  Erin 200 RYT®  and Certified Lymphatic Yoga® Teacher, trained under yoga master Edely Wallace, creator of the Lymphatic Yoga® method. When not on the mat, Erin enjoys traveling with her husband and two children, preparing meals with local foods, and any activity on the water, especially SUP yoga!

Trish Petty

Trish is a creative soul with a science mind who loves being outdoors, practicing yoga and admiring the beauty all around. She received her bachelors degree in biology and studio art from the University of Virginia, where she met her amazing husband of twenty-five years. She started her career illustrating medical textbooks and surgical manuals while doing dermatology research at the University of Florida. She stepped back from her career to have and raise two wonderful kids. When they entered school she taught elementary and middle school art at Millhopper Montessori School for almost 10 years. She designed and led a team of women to paint a 150 foot mural depicting the story of Noah’s Ark at Trinity United Methodist Church in her free time. And now that she is a new empty nester she is starting another chapter in her life. She is restoring her love of creating art daily and exploring how that nourishes the body and the spirit. She hopes to share this journey with others.

This was a wonderful experience. I had never really done yoga before and I was a little apprehensive but Erin was great guiding me through the various poses. And I learned a lot and explored my creativity with Trish's sessions. They were fun and enlightening. The food was great. I am not into vegetarian but everything was surprisingly tasty.

Erin and Molly organized a fantastic camping retreat. Everything was thought of and all I had to do was show up. The meals were delicious. My favorite part of the trip was the sunset sail. See you ladies again soon!

Erin & Trish were fabulous! The cabin was perfect, we embraced the weather and spent quiet time reflecting. The flexibility of our days and times for activities was a big plus. The Yoga was relaxing, doable, modified as needed, and educational. I enjoyed the focus on breath, lymphatic system, and making it my own practice, and the ending relaxation. We all want Erin to make a recording—her voice is so soothing and calming. The vegan meals were absolutely delicious and we received the recipes! The journaling was so much fun and presented in an inviting playful way so that exploring together felt safe and right. The journal and art supplies were all in our goody bags, wow! I told Erin that I felt so cared for over the weekend—that it was an even better experience than I expected. Meeting and connected with the other participants (like minded souls) and practicing tender self care and relaxation was exactly what I needed in body, mind and soul. Thanks so much Erin & Trish! ♥
