Women’s Healing Retreat in Puerto Rico

Hosted by Rachel Kaufman of Integrated Healing Vibes, in partnership with Amour Getaways, this five-day women’s healing retreat was created for women who are ready to reconnect with themselves and community, engage their six senses, and have fun!
Through a guided sound bath and group healing sessions, cultural and invigorating excursions, meaningful rest, and connection with like-minded women and local Puerto Ricans, the retreat offers a supportive environment to release tension, gain clarity, and restore balance.
In addition to the guided excursions we have planned, another goal is to ensure you have access to delicious and nourishing Puerto Rican food and coffee!

Group sessions led by Rachel Kaufman of Integrated Healing Vibes, designed to support grounding, re-connection and inner awareness.
Multiple curated excursions including El Yunque National Forest, Hacienda Muñoz coffee tour, a cultural visit to Loiza, and a guided walk through Old San Juan.
Roundtrip ground transportation provided for all scheduled excursions and retreat activities.
Professional on-site hosting, logistics management, and guest support by Amour Getaways throughout the retreat.
Dedicated time to rest, reflect, and integrate your experience in a supportive environment.

Roundtrip airfare to and from Puerto Rico is not included; however, airfare coordination services are available upon request.
Meals not specifically outlined as part of the retreat experience are not included.

Departure Day / Travel Home
Today is a travel and arrival day. Guests will arrive in Puerto Rico and make their way to the retreat accommodations. This day is intentionally light, allowing time to settle in, unpack, and rest after travel.
Welcome dinner included this night. Please plan to arrive by 6pm.
After dinner, we will experience a beautiful, restorative sound bath to rest and get ready for our fun, long weekend!
Centro de Esperanza en Loíza
9:00am -12:30pm
Experience the soul of Loíza through its people, music, and ancestral flavors.
Accompanied by youth leaders from local communities who serve as cultural guides through Centro de Esperanza’s Heritage Tourism & Community Service Program, you’ll discover the deep African-Taíno roots that shape Loíza’s identity.
During this interactive experience, you’ll:
Explore Loíza’s natural and cultural heritage.
Learn how its resources have inspired traditional art, food, and music.
Join in the rhythm of Bomba, Puerto Rico’s oldest musical tradition — touching the drums, singing, and dancing alongside your hosts.
Enjoy a lovingly prepared typical Loiceño lunch (included), featuring Afro-Taíno dishes crafted by local cooks using ancestral recipes.
Your participation directly supports Centro de Esperanza’s youth programs, including Melodías de Esperanza, which provides music education to children ages 4–18.
This experience offers more than a tour — it’s a living exchange rooted in respect, community, and joy.
History and Culture in Old San Juan
1:30pm - 3:30pm
Experience the history, color, and resilience of Puerto Rico’s oldest city. This guided walking tour through Old San Juan introduces women to the island’s layered past while allowing space to explore at a relaxed pace. Expect history, ocean views, and time to wander.

Hacienda Muñoz Coffee Tour
10am - 11:15am
Connect with Puerto Rico’s agricultural roots through one of its most cherished crops.
At Hacienda Muñoz, you’ll learn how coffee is cultivated from plant to cup while enjoying the slower rhythm of the island’s mountain region. This experience engages the senses and invites mindful conversation.

Caguas Plaza
12pm - 3pm
Following the tour, the group will travel to the town plaza in Caguas. Guests will have time to enjoy lunch on their own, with several local restaurants to choose from. If time permits, there will also be an opportunity to visit nearby museums and cultural spaces surrounding the plaza.
After all these fun activities, guests will have a chance to rest on the beach or on the property where we are staying, followed by grounding healing group sessions.

El Yunque National Forest
9am -12pm
Step into the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. This guided experience invites us to slow our pace and reconnect through nature. Walk beneath the green canopy, feel the humidity and mist, and experience the grounding presence of the forest.

Luquillo Beach / Kioskos de Luquillo
12pm - 2pm
We will have time to relax and fuel up after the hike! With views of Luquillo beach and around 60 family-owned kiosks selling food, drinks, and souvenirs, the Kioskos de Luquillo offer something for everyone.
This evening, we will have a group healing closing ceremony.
Today is the departure day. Guests will check out of their accommodations and travel home.
Please plan flights accordingly. Our team will be available to assist with any last-minute questions prior to departure.
Rachel is the founder of Integrated Healing Vibes and has been supporting clients find more empowerment, calmness, joy, and balance in their daily lives for over 20 years. She is a featured author in the anthologies, Her Badass Story 2 and The Alchemy of Intuition: Embodied Practices to Access Your Inner Voice.
Rachel is a certified Reflexologist, Reiki Master, Life Coach, and Acupressure practitioner. She has studied and incorporates essential oils/aromatherapy, crystals, and shamanic techniques into her practice. She received an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation, and has a Master's Degree in International Public Health (MPH).
Rachel’s approach is rooted in presence and care. She brings a steady, attentive energy to her work, helping participants feel supported and safe as they explore personal growth and emotional healing. Her facilitation style emphasizes listening, awareness of the body, and practical tools that women can carry with them long after the retreat ends.
With years of experience guiding students and participants in classes and other group settings, Rachel is known for creating experiences that feel nurturing, honest, and approachable—spaces where women can slow down, release tension, and reconnect with themselves at their own pace.
Rachel is fluent in Spanish and an avid world traveler. She is very excited to offer this trip for you!
Karina Polen-Davis is the Founder and CEO of Amour Getaways and a native of Puerto Rico, where she lives in Trujillo Alto and remains deeply connected to the land and culture that shaped her. Her work is rooted in place. She doesn’t simply host retreats on the island—she invites women into an experience of Puerto Rico through a local lens.
As an island-based retreat curator, Karina designs experiences that reflect the richness of Puerto Rican history, landscape, and community. She partners intentionally with local facilitators, artisans, and cultural spaces to create retreats that feel immersive, respectful, and grounded in authenticity.
Karina is a Certified Interpretive Guide (CIG) with certification in Outdoor Recreation, bringing a strong foundation in experiential design, group safety, and thoughtful facilitation. Her academic background in Animal and Poultry Sciences, along with graduate studies in Food and Nutritional Sciences, informs her deep appreciation for land, nourishment, and sustainable living—values she integrates into the retreats she curates.
As host, Karina oversees logistics, transportation, scheduling, and guest coordination so participants can fully engage in their personal journey. Her presence is steady and attentive, creating a structured yet welcoming environment where women feel cared for from arrival to departure.
Through her work, Karina offers more than travel—she offers connection to place.
