About this trip

The retreat starts Friday at 6pm and ends 11am on Sunday

This is a women’s retreat designed to offer rest, reflection, and spiritual renewal. While we do

have a schedule of events and activities to guide our time together, we also understand the

importance of personal devotion and flexibility.

Mass Attendance & Meals:

You're welcome to attend Mass on your own time, based on your personal schedule and

spiritual needs. Likewise, dinner arrangements can be made individually if you prefer

something outside of the group setting.

This retreat is about creating space for what your heart needs most — whether that's time in

community or quiet moments on your own.

The fall equinox signifies a moment of equilibrium between daylight and darkness, serving as a powerful reminder to seek balance in our own lives, much like nature is transitioning from summer's abundance to winter's rest, allowing us to harvest harmony by reflecting on our own experiences and finding inner equilibrium.

Finding harmony in gratitude and grace means cultivating a mindset where you actively acknowledge and appreciate the good in your life (gratitude), while simultaneously accepting imperfections and extending kindness to yourself and others with an understanding of life's challenges (grace), leading to a sense of inner peace and balance; essentially, being thankful for what you have while also recognizing that not everything is always perfect and allowing for forgiveness and compassion.

May this weekend provide you an opportunity to seek a harmonized balance in yourself as you focus your mind on gratitude and grace toward all of life, including yourself!

SATRUDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th - BYOB (Wine Only) there will be a firepit available

FACILITATOR BIO:

 Jeannine Wonderling

I started practicing yoga and meditation while entering into my middled-age years, as things were changing drastically in my life. The practice allowed me to feel stronger both mentally and physically, helped alleviate stress and anxiety, and helped me sleep more soundly each night. In addition to becoming a certified RYT 200 Yoga Instructor in 2023, I also started my study of Shinrin Yoku, or Forest Bathing. In October 2024, I became certified as a Forest Therapy Guide. I enjoy hiking and walking outdoors, sewing, theater, music and travel. I live in the Altoona area with my partner, my youngest daughter, and our two crazy goldendoodles.

Accessibility Notice:

Please note that this retreat includes a variety of group activities that may involve

walking, standing for extended periods, and navigating uneven terrain. In order to

ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees, we kindly ask that

participants be able to fully engage in the retreat schedule without requiring mobility

assistance that could limit the group’s movement or timing.

We deeply value inclusion and want everyone to have a meaningful experience. If you

have specific concerns or needs, please reach out to us in advance so we can discuss

accommodations or future retreat opportunities that may be a better fit.

You just can't beat the serenity of the grounds and facilities. There is peace and quiet for reflection and spaces for community gathering. I was able to still the chatter in my mind for clarity and focus.

Our group truly enjoyed our time together and the lovely grounds even though you had experienced a lot of rain. We were blessed to have time outside to enjoy the labyrinth and walking around. The sitting area in the barn worked perfectly for us. The 23 new people were amazed by the buildings and all you do. As always we were blessed to be there.
