We are so excited to be hosting an exclusive women-only retreat for ladies who love all things fitness, health and nutrition. We have planned five days of adventure, learning, training together in a gym setting and spending much-needed time in nature.
We will be diving deeper into eating and training around the menstrual cycle, looking at food as fuel, building confidence and creating a safe place to discuss everything and anything! This is the perfect getaway for anyone needing some time surrounded by other females, to open up and to just be you. We want you to leave this retreat feeling good in yourself, more confident, as well as rested and recharged.
We have chosen the Jurassic Coast for its blend of natural wonders and all-weather fitness opportunities; an ideal location to help you escape the city for a little while and spend time in nature. Our team is here to coach, energise and encourage you to be your best self.
If you’re female and love fitness, you’ll be very familiar with how your cycle affects your performance in training. Some days you feel amazing, other days you’re at 50%.
We will debunk what you should and should not expect of yourself and how to make the most of each stage of your cycle. All our sessions will be in a small group, interactive format so that everyone can contribute to the discussion.
There will be time for an optional 1:1 consultation with Becs on nutrition and training. We will also take time out for journaling and self-reflection.
We will train together in a small group of up to 8 guests, to give you as much attention as possible.
We will do medium-intensity workouts using free weights and conditioning equipment. The sessions will be suitable for all levels of fitness and will help you return with a better understanding of how to train back at your home gym.
Our sessions will take place at CrossFit Pi over 3 days.
We strongly believe in the magic of a small group of women coming together to share stories, laugh together and enjoy the moment. We have set aside time for us to hang out together as well as for you to reflect in private without distractions.
We will be based in the middle of the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with some of the UK’s most beautiful coastline spots. We fully intend to explore them!
Some of the outdoor activities we have planned are:
Nutritionist and Personal Trainer BSc MSc ANutr
Becs is a registered associate nutritionist (ANutr) with a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and a Master’s in clinical nutrition and eating disorders. She is also a personal trainer, an ex-gymnast and swimmer and now CrossFitter so she knows first hand how crucial nutrition is for performance and recovery.
Becs works for pH Nutrition and is the nutritionist as well as a coach at CrossFit Putney. Through her coaching, she is passionate to educate her clients, work on mindset and find ways of eating and training that suit her clients’ individual preferences.
Becs loves being outdoors, loves an adventure, loves a sunrise and most importantly loves anything food and fitness related!
We have developed a plant-based menu using organic produce as much as possible. Meals will be based on a Mediterranean diet and will consist of hearty breakfasts, lunches and dinners and plenty of raw snacks to fuel our activities. We typically use fish, seafood, dairy and pulses as our main protein sources, however we cater for all dietary requirements.
Becs and our retreat chef Marc Pasternack will produce our retreat menu and Marc will prepare all of our meals.
We will stay three nights at Watch Hill Manor, a lovingly restored Georgian beach house in the small coastal town of Budleigh Salterton. The house has a variety of living and dining rooms where we can relax and eat together.
You will stay in your own double or king bedroom, with either an ensuite or a shared bathroom. All bedrooms have bespoke furniture, super soft furnishings and unique bedding.
We are doing our best to keep our retreat safe for our guests and team. Please see this page for our updated Covid safety guidelines.
