About this trip
Come along with Women Who Explore as we discover the many natural wonders that make Yellowstone a world-renowned treasure. With endless geysers, thermal pools, mountains, lakes and canyons stretching on to the horizon to explore, this trip will be filled with memories and views you will never forget!
On our guided tour through Yellowstone we'll visit special places like the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Norris Geyser Basin, Old Faithful, and Lewis Lake, we'll paddle on alpine lakes, hike to remote and pristine vistas, and camp under. With wildlife abound and with some luck we'll catch views of elk, bison, bears and maybe even a wolf pack on the hunt in Hayden Valley!
This is a camping adventure so we will be sleeping under the stars, sleeping at a comfortable base camp complete with modern facilities. Some camping equipment is available to borrow; availalbe on a fist come first serve request.

Amazing!! Life changing. Great guides, great ambassador & great fellow backpackers. I had so much fun while busting my butt (literally a few times!). Hard work & probably the challenge & experience I’m most proud to have done. It was so beautiful. Not very crowded, it felt like we had the canyon to ourselves. Everyone was there to lend a hand if needed & I always felt safe. I will be doing another adventure for sure!!

Hi,
I was lucky enough to be able to take the trip offered to Northern Vietnam on Oct 7-15. This was my first group trip and my first trip to Vietnam.
While I did greatly enjoy a majority of the adventure, there were a few glitches which most of my group will agree on.
While we understand that last minute changes may occur, most of us were very disappointed that a large chunk of our kayaking time was cut out, for many of us this was a big selling point.
Day 3 Halong Bay kayaking time was just over an hour, also this was not in conjunction with the cave tour as described.
Day 4 was listed as another kayak opportunity for a couple of hours around Ao Ech area. That was completely missing on our agenda, seemingly replaced with Tai Chi on the boat.
Our time at Emeralda Resort was far too short. It is such a beautiful setting that it was a terrible shame to leave without having a full chance to explore and relax in this peaceful setting.
There were 2 sit down lunches along the way that were too long when as a group we would have preferred a quick bite and get back to fun instead of an 8 course meal in the middle of the day.
Maybe future trips could lengthen the stay in the countryside by cutting back on some of the time spent in Hanoi, while it is a very interesting city, there is so much beauty beyond that.

Women Who Explore and Backcountry Found both made this trip amazing! Logistics and patience and support for trying new things and exploring was encouraged and great! Beautiful scenery of course and information on what we were looking at and they knew where to find all the petroglyphs in the canyon. Women power!!!

Great group of women. However, I didn’t think it necessarily met the advertised “vibe” of great food and adventures that were not standard tourist traps, and it needed to be vetted by the organizers before selling it to customers.

While there were a couple adjustments made to the trip, this getaway did adhere closely to the itinerary both on the website and travel guide provided beforehand. We often call our adventures “bucket list destinations” because they are the types of adventures that many people want to do, which does mean that some locations may feel more “touristy”. We do our best to try to balance this with the additional activities or locations that may not feel as touristy. I completed my first real hiking experience - the Salkantay trek - Peru. Not only was this an experience I’ll never forget (for so many different reasons) but it was by far one of the best experience challenging me mentally, physically and spiritually. The ambassadors (Amanda & Krys) were phenomenal as were our three Peruvian guides. The group was uniquely fabulous and supportive. The accommodations, food and treks ranked 15 out of 10.
This was a much needed adventure for me and I am so very glad I participated.
Thank you to all who coordinated and took part in such a great experience.

Best decision I ever made! I felt like a crazy person when I first booked this trip because who books a trip to Mexico with 9 strangers?? This trip was everything I needed! I made 9 friends and came home filled with confidence knowing that once “scary” things were now in my comfort zone. I tell everyone I ever meet about WWE and will 1000% be booking another trip with them. Our tour guide was so kind and took care of all us and made us feel comfortable. The trip was so well organized and left plenty of room for us to explore on our own, or add new things to the itinerary. We learned so much about the local culture, cuisine, agriculture and more with our local guide who was a friend by the end of the trip, and all 10 of us were crying when it was time to say goodbye. If you are considering a trip with WWE, just do it. You’re going to have an incredible time.
