About your trip

Step away from busyness and into the relaxed nature of Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. This is a long weekend retreat dedicated to nourishing your whole being.

This trip incudes lodging, plant forward Ayurvedic inspired meals per day, cacao ceremony, walking meditation, soul vision board, abhyanga self massage, daily meditation and yoga. This is the perfect retreat to push pause and let yourself rest and restore.

Sarah and Angie believe that yoga and wellness should not be available only to those who are financially whole, if you are experiencing hardship and would like to join Please reach out to Sarah at sarah@sarah-lindgren.com to make arrangements.

Meditation & Movement

This wellness retreat is focused on nourishing your whole self inside and out. Each day will begin with a 30 minute guided meditation practice. You will also be guided through a variety of yoga sessions during our time together. You will have the opportunity to try Hatha, somatic and restorative yoga and the mindful practice of yoga nidra.

Both meditation and yoga have been shown in multiple studies to help with emotional regulation by bolstering the amygdala and increase gray matter thickness in the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex. This assists with memory and stress which often weakens with age.

Eating in Alignment

Lets be honest, food is a very important part of any vacation, but even more so on a wellness retreat. Angie, is your chef for the weekend. Angie has been cooking beautifully crafted meals for retreats for several years. She takes time to ensure your meals are not only nourishing but also unbelievablely delicious! Angie cooks utilizing the practices of Ayurveda which drives us to eat fresh local food that incorporates all 6 tastes to promote satiety. If you are gluten free or have other dietary needs please reach out and we will work to support and accommodate you.

Ritual

Allow yourself to return to the truth of your being. This retreat is here to help you tap into your divine feminine power. This is accomplished through all aspects of this retreat but are deeply felt in the space of our soul vision board creation, cacao ceremony and our sacred self care Abhyanga massage.

Self Care

Sarah and Angie are bringing this retreat to you as an invitation to practice self care. Whether it is engaging in beach walks on lake Michigan, curling up with a good book or participating in offered activities.

SL
Sarah Lindgren
I began practicing yoga in 2006 while I was expecting my first daughter. That initial experience of self love and fully being present in my body, even with all of the crazy changes was truly profound! Since then I have found that a practice guided by my own intuition and the principals of the 8 limb path of yoga provides me with a deeper understanding of myself. I practice and teach because yoga gives you permission to be yourself, uncovered, and beautifully raw. I love the honesty of the yoga practice and how it demands self acceptance, which is truly the heart of this practice. As a Yoga Teacher I've been teaching yoga since summer of 2015, gaining 200 hour certification in 2016 from Moksha Yoga in Chicago, completing the program with more than 700 hours of training. Training with yoga masters like Gary Kraftsow and Aadil Palkhivala. My mission as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher is to help make the world of yoga more accessible to all students.
