We suggest all flights to arrive by 4:00 pm (This is not required, but recommended in case of delays and to ensure time to get ready and relax before our welcome dinner)

*It may be cheaper to fly into Sao Paulo and then book a separate domestic flight to Rio, however, if doing so please only purchase a carry-on and not a checked bag.

PACKAGE OPTIONS

Double Occupancy:

This is the price for 1 traveler. Double occupancy means that you will be paired with a roommate of the same gender (if you are traveling solo). If you wish to request a certain roommate or to have 1 large bed in your room rather than 2 separate beds, please e-mail info@tworldtours.com and/or add that in the comment on your Roommate Matching Form. 

Single Occupancy:

This is the price for 1 traveler in a room with a king/queen bed.

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

To secure the best accommodations, partners, and experiences, we plan and pay for all trips months in advance. For this reason, all cancellations will be refunded in a form of a travel credit to join another bucket list destination with TWT. 

You are able to cancel your trip for a full credit refund up to 60 days before the trip (minus deposit)

Cancellations made between 30 - 60 days before departure will receive a 50% credit refund of all payments made. All credits are redeemable for 1 year, however, the trip does not need to be completed within 1 year. 

Cancellations made less than 30 days before departure are not eligible for a credit refund.

If you fail to pay a payment plan installment, you will be charged an additional $50. That allows you an additional 7 day extension to complete your payment. 

The last installment must be completed on time and cannot be extended by any means.

CANCELLATIONS ON BEHALF OF TWT

This tour will only depart if there is a minimum of 6 travelers booked. Please ensure that the flights that you purchase have full refundable travel insurance included. If this tour has to be cancelled for this reason, we will provide a full refund in a form of a trip credit, including the non-refundable deposit.

Welcome to Brazil! Upon arrival you'll be greeted by a member of the T World Tours team the the airport to escort you to our hotel in Copacabana - The most famous beachfront in the world!

Rest up because tonight is our luxury welcome dinner meet + greet and afterwards everyone will be ready to enjoy their first night in town at the famous Lapa District known for it's bustling nightlife. 

Dinner theme: Earthy and Nuetral Tones 

Today we're kicking off the first full day of the trip with a visit to one of the 7th Wonders of The World - Christ The Redeemer! Followed by a cable car ride above the sugarloaf hills with the most incredible panoramic view overlooking the city. We'll end the trip with a tour of the Lapa Steps, and after finishing checking off our highlights of Rio bucket list, we'll gather for lunch for a traditional meal to recap our day! 

THEME: Red, yellow, or dark blue, or dark green. 

Rio was voted one of the most beautiful coast lines in the world! This helicopter ride is an exhilarating and unforgettable experience that offers a unique perspective on the city's iconic landmarks and stunning natural beauty. 

From a bird's eye view you'll be able to see Christ The Redeemer, Rio's sprawling coastline and turqouise waters, bustling neighborhoods and golden beaches. 

For those who do not feel comfortable doing a helicopter, you can substitute this for a 30-min jet ski experience in Copacabana beach.  

In the afternoon, feel free to enjoy the beach, go shopping, or join us for the famous Sunset Dj party on the Sugarloaf Hills! 

You can book this separately as an additional add-on upon check out, and it will include RT transportation and entry to the party via Cable Car.

Brazil has the greatest biodiversity of plants and animals on the planet due to the amazon rainforest covering most of the country!

On this half day trip, we'll ride through Tijuca National Park's rainforest, the world's largest urban forest, in an open-top Jeep.

During this guided eco-tour, we'll also get a chance to walk through the forest to spot sloths, butterflies, monkeys, birds and waterfalls - and enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Forest from the hilltops!

Fun fact:  Brazil has the highest number of species of known mammals and freshwater fish, and more than 50,000 species of trees and bushes, it takes first place in plant diversity.

Sunday Funday: At 9 pm, we're going to go to a samba party to experience Brazilian nightlife with the locals. This is a true "if you know, you know" kind of party and you won't find any other foreign travelers there. 

It was one of the guest's favorite party experiences in 2024 so we couldn't wait to include this in this year's itinerary! 

Rio de Janeiro's favelas are shantytowns that have developed on the city's hillsides and flatlands. On this local favela social experience you will not only see a different side of the city but also gain a newfound appreciation for the strength and spirit of its people.

Led by knowledgeable local guides, we'll start the tour on a motorbike going to the top of the hillside where the guides offer a firsthand glimpse into daily life in these dynamic neighborhoods, providing insights into their history, challenges, and triumphs. 

As you navigate the maze-like streets, you'll encounter bustling markets, lively samba schools, and colorful murals that adorn the walls, each telling a story of resilience and creativity. Engage with residents, hear their stories, and gain a deeper understanding of the social and economic dynamics at play.

On this tour, we'll also experience a Capoeira show and learn more about the history of how the dance became such a notable part of Brazil' history. After lunch, we'll return home around 4:00 pm. 

To end our final full day, we're dressing up and going all out for our luxury steakhouse farewell dinner!
