Day 1: Lower Loop Exploration

• Morning: Start at the Lower Geyser Basin to see the geothermal features, including the famous Fountain Paint Pot.
• Mid-Morning: Visit the Grand Prismatic Spring in the Midway Geyser Basin, the largest hot spring in the park.
• Lunch: Enjoy a picnic near the Firehole River or at a designated picnic area.
• Afternoon: Explore the Upper Geyser Basin and witness an eruption of Old Faithful.
• Late Afternoon: Drive along the Firehole Canyon Drive to see the waterfall and scenic views.

 Day 2: Wildlife and Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

• Morning: Head to Hayden Valley for wildlife viewing, where you might see bison, elk, and possibly grizzly bears.
• Late Morning: Visit the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, including viewpoints like Lookout Point and Artist Point for stunning views of the falls and canyon.
• Lunch: Have picnic  lunch at Canyon Village, where there are picnic areas.
• Afternoon: Explore more of the canyon area or take a short hike on one of the nearby trails.
• Late Afternoon: Visit the Mud Volcano and Sulphur Cauldron areas to see more unique geothermal features.

Day 3: Northern Yellowstone and Mammoth Hot Springs

• Morning: Drive to the northern part of the park to explore Mammoth Hot Springs and see the terraced limestone formations.
• Mid-Morning: Visit the Lamar Valley, often called "America's Serengeti" for its excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
• Lunch: Enjoy lunch in the Tower-Roosevelt area, with options for picnic spots or a quick meal at Roosevelt Lodge.
• Afternoon: Take a leisurely drive back towards West Yellowstone, stopping at any additional points of interest or for short hikes.
• Evening: Conclude your day with a relaxing dinner in West Yellowstone and share your experiences from the trip.

This itinerary offers a comprehensive overview of Yellowstone's major highlights, combining geothermal wonders, iconic landscapes, and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Grand Teton is about 2 1/2 hours from our hotel so we will try to see it all in a day. 

We will leave the hotel early to try to see the famous barn in the best lights. 

1. Start the morning  at Mormon Row: Capture the iconic Teton Range backdrop with the historic barns at Mormon Row, one of the most photographed spots in the park.
2. Jenny Lake Area: Head to Jenny Lake early to beat the crowds. Consider taking the shuttle boat across the lake (operational seasonally) and hike to Inspiration Point via the Hidden Falls trail for stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
3. Lunch at Signal Mountain: After your hike, drive up to Signal Mountain for a picnic with panoramic views of the Teton Range and Jackson Hole Valley.
4. Explore the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center: Learn about the park's history, geology, and wildlife. The center also offers ranger-led programs that provide deeper insight into the park.
5. Scenic Drive Along Teton Park Road: Take a leisurely drive along Teton Park Road, stopping at various pullouts for photos and to enjoy the views. Key stops include Schwabacher's Landing for reflection shots of the Tetons in the Snake River and the Snake River Overlook.
6. End your day at Oxbow Bend: Conclude your visit with a sunset view at Oxbow Bend, one of the best spots in the park for wildlife viewing and landscape photography, especially with Mount Moran reflecting in the calm waters.

We will end our Yellowstone adventures with a 2 hour evening horseback ride followed by a ranger led star gazing event. 

The horses are all well trained and gentle but if you are not comfortable with this adventure, please let me know and I will take this out of your itinerary and adjust the price. 

" The evening rides are so very relaxing. This ride will start at the barn as well. The ride is a bit shorter as we don’t want to be out in the dark. So, due to the time, we won’t go as high up in the mountains as the other rides but will be equally as stunning as any ride we offer. The wildlife comes out in the evening hours as it’s cooler for them. It’s peaceful and serene on the shady trails as you listen to the creak of your saddle. The air is so pure and sweet and scented with musk and flowers. "
