TROPICAL YIN YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

Enjoy a tropical retreat or join us online from the comfort and safety of your own home as we enter into the energy of receptivity and acceptance with the practice of yin yoga. The Yoga Academy International team will guide you as you dive more profoundly in to your yoga practice and teaching. 

We want to give you a rejuvenating retreat-style experience interwoven with an upstanding yoga education. Upon completion eligible yoga teachers will receive a yin yoga teaching certification. The intensive yoga teacher training program will be woven in throughout the day and you will have ample opportunity to relax and enjoy the sun, sand, surf and gorgeous nature of our tropical paradise. 

This training is also one of the elective modules of our advanced 500hr yoga teaching certification. In taking this training you will gain 60hrs toward your 500hr certification registered with the international yoga alliance.

SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE:

• 7:00 – 8:30am morning yoga flow 
• 8:30 – 9am meditation and mindfulness exercises
• 9 – 10:30am Breakfast break
• 10:30am – 1pm Yin Yoga Theory
• 1pm – 3:30pm Lunch Break
• 3:30pm – 5:30pm Workshops, discussion, practice teaching, mindful communication skills
• 5:30-6:30pm sunset break
• 6:30pm – 7:45pm evening satsang (Q&A, philosophy chats, dance parties)
• 7:45pm dinner

*This training takes place in GMT (general mountain time). All lectures will be streamed via zoom as well. All lectures will be recorded and students will have access to recorded lectures for 7-days following the training. 

CURRICULUM:

This yin yoga teacher training will touch on:

• History and origins of yin yoga
• Anatomy of yin and the mayofacial system
• Chinese meridians & Elements
• Where yin yoga and science meet
• How to sequence yin yoga classes
• How to create a safe space for yin
• Moon cycles, lunar energy and yin yoga
• How to effectively use props

ACCREDITATION & TUITION:

oga Academy International is a recognized and registered yoga school with Yoga Alliance. When you graduate our course you will be a certified yin yoga teacher. This course also counts as 60hrs toward Yoga Academy International’s 500hr YTT. On completion of 4 elective modules you can register as RYT-500. Tuition for this program is $1765USD in person and $550USD online.

Currently both Costa Rica and Nicaragua are open for tourists from all countries of the world (Hooray!!) You WILL be required to show a negative PCR (Covid test) taken no earlier than 72-hours before traveling in order to enter Nicaragua.

HOW WE INTEND TO KEEP YOU SAFE:

Because of the above guidelines, it is safe to assume that anyone arriving to our training is COVID free. That being said, even after testing negative there may still be a 5-day incubation period for the virus. So we will do the following:

• Provide hand sanitizer at strategic locations and require sanitizing before and after every meal as well as before and after every class.
• Students will not share mats or props
• There will be no physical adjustments during this training
• We have plenty of space for social distancing and ALL classes take place outside! 
• Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 after arrival will be required to self-isolate for 14 days at his/her own expense. This means staying in a private room at the retreat centre or another hotel for 14-days. You will not be permitted at meals but meals will be brought to your room and left outside. You may still join the training since all classes take place outside, in open air spaces, but will be required to wear a mask in all classes be socially distanced from the group at a minimum of 2 meters.  

A non-refundable deposit is required to hold your space in the program.

The remaining balance is due 5-days prior to the start date of the yoga teacher training program.

5-days prior to the Yoga Teacher training your space in the program has been accounted for and therefore we cannot offer a refund for any reason. There will be no refunds offered for participants who leave our program after arrival or who cancel within 5-days of the program start date. If a yoga teacher training participant leaves our program after arrival for any reason, the yoga teacher training participant is responsible for all arrangements and costs associated with travel and accommodation for their departure from our yoga teacher training program

Please note, we are not offering refunds if students test positive for COVID-19 or required to isolate because of exposure to the virus.  If your travel plans are altered or delayed because of your own exposure to the virus, we are not offering refunds.

We WILL offer full refunds if your country goes in to lockdown BEFORE the training start date or if flights from your country or to the MGA or LIR airports are grounded.
