Immerse yourself in this retreat of self exploration into your body, mind and spirit. Join us with an open heart while you relax, unwind, and let go. We welcome anyone who has a desire to nourish themselves with a variety of healing modalities including yoga, guided meditation, tantra style breathwork, therapeutic massage, freshly prepared vegetarian meals and an ancient 5,300-year-old cacao ceremony.
Bring yourself, a loved one, or group to this experience of magical self-exploration. When we quiet the mind and stay in the present moment anything is possible. Between our scheduled classes we will embark on a fun boat ride through the mangroves and estuary at La Tovara nature reserve. You will also have the opportunity to use your creativity in an art class taught by world renowned artist and owner of Casa Buena, Jane Romanishko.
Located at Casa Buena in the charming Mexican backcountry 55 miles north of Puerto Vallarta. This area is located on the coastline of the Rivera Nayarit, a scenic highway of 190 miles known for its raw beauty, beaches, tropical birds and diverse culture.
One of the two Sanskrit roots of the word tantra refers to it’s capacity of liberating you. “Tan” means to expand, while “tra” means to liberate. Tantra describes itself as an expansion of the knowledge and practice that liberates us from suffering. Tantra philosophy states that all bodies, worlds, and ideas are interconnected and therefore divine in their essence. Tantric Breathwork is a meditative way of tuning in deeper within yourself. During our meditations and yoga classes students feel more connected with their body, mind, and breath. Wherever the mind goes our life force follows.
This ancient cacao ceremony will last 1.5 hours. We will open with intention settings then move through traditional medicinal huichol, (indigenous people of Mexico) songs. Music will be followed by sharing of cacao and information about it’s cultural significance. We will offer prayers, dance with drumming and close the ceremony with a 20-minute guided meditation as the cacao takes its effect.
Participants leave the ceremony feeling a deep sense of tranquility. Most experience a small emotional release and the cacao allows the group’s energy to harmonize to a higher level of connection.
All participants will receive a song sheet, flowers and the ceramic cup the facilitator provides for the cacao.
