After a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, it is time for a short walk through San Jose and a first yoga session in one of the city parks. 

After that, it´s time to freshen up and leave the city behind. We are heading to Turrialba, famous for the Turrialba volcano, cheese making and farming. But first we make a stop at the Edventure Travel office for lunch and a more detailed introduction of our group trip.

In our very basic but cosy accommodation (hostel) we can enjoy a great view over the volcano. If we´re lucky we might also spot a sloth from our balcony... Anyway, it´s a great location for a yoga session! We end our night with a tasty and healthy meal and a short Spanish lesson (for beginners/intermediates). 

Today will be a very special day. After our morning yoga session we will head of to the Pacuare River where we will go rafting! Rafting on the Pacuare river is absolutely spectacular. It is a great way to experience the rainforest from the water. While you paddle your way through the river, you might see a toucan fly over or hear some howler monkeys saluding you. Today´s difficulty level is II/III.
A fresh dive into a creek and an improvised but very tasty lunch on the rivers´ shore make this activity complete. 

In the afternoon we will arrive at our river camp where we will be camping close to the river in a very basic but lovely jungle river camp. Expect no luxury at all (you will sleep in a very simple 2-persons tent on a thin mattress) but do expect a great atmosphere, cool beverages and a very tasty, homemade and candlelit meal. 

All of the former participants (2016 and 2017) stated that the rafting and camping experience was 1 of the highlights of their trip. Should you have any doubts about this part, feel free to let us know.
