Program Overview
This program has been developed for serious yogis who are ready to deepen their practice and enrich their lives. Learn to take your personal practice and potential teaching to the next level with the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. Learn to embody your yoga practice and keep evolving, personally and professionally. All this in the secluded off-grid eco-paradise of Playa Viva, Guerrero Mexico.
In this unique training, you will learn to embody your yoga practice, inhabit deep wisdom and incorporate the ancient practices of Ayurveda into your modern life. Learn your unique Ayurvedic constitution and discover the foods, practices and techniques that support living in harmony with nature. Using Ayurveda as philosophy and yoga as methodology, learn to teach the practices of pranayama, asana, mantra and meditation according to the elements, doshas, seasons and individual needs. Learn to design and teach a simple group elemental vinyasa class and sequences for each dosha and create a basic holistic lifestyle for yourself, your students and loved ones.

Accreditation
This is a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher training program through Yoga Veda.. All participants can file for the 200 hour certificate after completing the training and passing the in class final exam as well as submitting 5 additional teaching hours and homework until Dec 2018.
As a 200 hour Yoga Veda Ayurveda Yoga Teacher graduate you will be able to:
•Create and sustain your own home yoga practice and Ayurvedic self-care routine (dinacharya)
•Teach basic asana, pranayama, mantra, and meditation with emphasis on Ayurvedic theory and functional anatomy
•Teach basic asanas with hands on techniques for alignment and safety
•Sequence public and private yoga classes based on the elements, seasons, doshas, times of day and phases of life
•Offer basic 30 minute private Ayurvedic holistic lifestyle consults to support clients
•Offer 60-90 minute private yoga therapy classes
•Offer 60-90 minute elemental vinyasa flow class
•Understand and incorporate basic Ayurvedic and Yoga theory into daily life
•Understand and apply basic Ayurvedic nutrition and cooking
•Live in deeper harmony with the natural world
300 hour Accreditation
Yoga-Veda runs there 300 hour advanced YA certification concurrently with the 200 hour program for those who have already completed a 200 hour certification with any YA accredited school. 300 hour participants will deepen their knowledge of Yoga thru Ayurveda, adjustments and plenty of critiqued teaching hours. Participants must complete the 200 hour homework, and pass the in class final exam. Participants then have until June 2019 to complete and submit remaining hours.

50 hours teaching and or assisting either Kameko, David or a RYT 500 teacher (must be logged and submitted by participant post training). Kameko Shibata is an ERYT-500, National Ayurvedic Medical Association Health Practitioner, Massage Therapist, professional aerialist and wild creature. She is the Creator and Director of the YA certified school Yoga-Veda Shala, now in its 4th year.
Her focus on the traditional elements of Yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra are informed by her numerous studies in India, including the “vinyasa krama” system at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram. She has be fortunate enough to have more than 3,000 hours of Yoga, Ayurveda and Massage trainings over the last 10 years and has practiced yoga daily for 14 years. She has had the pleasure of studying with Swami Santhiprasad, DeAnna Batdorff, Dr. Vasant Lad, Ana Forrest, Mary Paffard, Rod Stryker, Mark Whitwell and longtime teacher, Alice Joanou. She is passionate about bringing yoga and Ayurveda into all communities. She is also deeply influenced by aerial acrobatics, 5rhythms dance, Vipassana Meditation, Lakota sweat lodge, primitive skills, Vedic Chanting, Sanskrit, ecological and social justice, herbal medicine and has a deep devotion to spices. www.nadigirlayurveda.com
David Moreno, RYT 500, has taught at international yoga conferences, festivals, universities, and teacher trainings worldwide. He has worked privately with students in the fashion and entertainment industries as well as professional athletes. Among those athletes taught include the U.S. Olympic Men’s Swim team coaches for the 2004 and 2008 Olympics. He has worked as a product advisor and ambassador for the Canadian Athletica Company, Lululemon, is a certified Pilates instructor, Somatic Fitness Trainer, and ordained minister.
His yoga commentaries have been published in Yoga Journal, Yoga International, LA Yoga Magazine, and Common Ground. His dance criticism and reviews are featured Culture Vulture. David is also the creator and producer for Yoga DVDs, electronic books, Yoga Nidra downloads, and subscription yoga classes for Yoga Vibes.
David began practicing yoga in the late 70s studying the Iyengar and Ashtanga styles of yoga before studying Anusara and the Bihar schools of yoga. He continues his study in Tantra and Ayurveda, delving deeper into yoga’s primordial roots. He is known for his depth, keen sense of humor and timing making his teaching both playful and informative. When not traveling he teaches in the San Francisco Bay Area.
