About this trip

"Retreat: a space and time for you get reacquainted with you; the ebb in the ebb and flow; a solitary sanctuary for renewal; a safe haven; a snug den; a refuge.”- Corrie Woods.

This retreat is an opportunity to step away from everyday life, from all your responsibilities and to-do lists, and to immerse yourself in a weekend of nurturing (body, mind and soul). It's an invitation reconnect with yourself, and to remember the abundance of peace, wisdom, joy, and health that's always within.

Sound good? Well, let me tell you more!

The Yoga Beyond the Mat Retreat is happening at the amazing Keys Creek Lavender Farm, 8+ acres of magic, nestled in a beautiful, serene valley in Northern San Diego County. This place is a gem! It's less than an hour drive from downtown San Diego, but you feel like you're really getting away. Especially after the scenic drive down the bumpy dirt road surrounded by green pastures and lavender fields.

When is it?
The retreat experience begins at 11am on Saturday 4/22 and will finish by noon on Sunday 4/23. This is right before the farm officially opens for Lavender season, so the lavender should be in full bloom. Amazing! Fields of lavender all around.

Hi! I'm Renee and I've been on the yoga path for....... 20+ years! I'd have to say my biggest yoga lesson has been learning to be present for the full experience of life; joy, pain, contentment, frustration, boredom, passion- you name it! And the second biggest lesson is that mindfulness and the other principles of yoga are a daily practice. Yoga is really a way of moving through life more awake & aware, more present, and more at ease. As for credentials, I'm a certified E-RYT 200 yoga teacher, trained in hatha, vinyasa, restorative & prenatal yoga. I also have a degree in counseling which has been so essential to helping me understand how to infuse yoga off the mat in daily life. I LOVE sharing the gifts of yoga because this practice has been ESSENTIAL to my own wellbeing. I truly hope this practice helps you as much as it helps me. Oh yeah, and I'm also a mom, love to dance & be outdoors, and live with my hubby & beautiful daughter in sunny San Diego, California. renee@reneegauthier.com

This was the perfect balance of yoga, relaxation, mindfulness, and amazing food. Both the location and the teacher were fantastic.
The Keys Creek Lavender Farm was a beautiful location for outdoor yoga and enjoying nature. The Lavender Farm staff was welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable... from a tour of the property to the heathy meals. The sleeping tents made camping feel luxurious! Retreat activities were well organized yet flexibie. The four yoga classes over two days were well narrated and facilitated socialization with the incorporation of partner poses.. Timing of the classes was important to ensure participants were not practicing in full sun, especially in warm weather. It was a wonderful experience and I came away feeling centered and rejuvenated. Overall, a wonderful retreat!
