Embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and yoga exploration on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast. This 100-hour immersive retreat gives you the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of postural alignment, anatomy, and yoga philosophy while experiencing the vibrant beauty of Costa Rica. Our 100-hour course counts towards your Savannah Power Yoga Leadership & Teacher training certification. If you aspire to receive a 200-hour Teacher Training Certificate with Yoga Alliance in order to teach yoga, you may opt to continue your teacher training with us after Yoga Camp.*
We’ll be nestled away in an Eco-facility, off of the beaten path. Enjoy the pure and simple way of life as you immerse yourself in yoga, the sights and sounds of the jungle, and a short walk to the palm-lined aquamarine waters of the Caribbean Sea.
*As early as July '24 we will offer a separate, additional 100-hour Yoga Teacher Training that can be combined with your Yoga Camp hours in order to receive a Yoga Alliance approved certificate of completion at the 200-hour level. Please contact us at Savannah Power Yoga for more information about continuing your training after Yoga Camp, or attend our info session on February 21st on Zoom.
Daily Yoga Practice: We will share at least one Vinyasa yoga practice per day. Sometimes 2!
Postural Alignment and Anatomy Workshops: Deepen your understanding of yoga postures and their impact on the body through in-depth alignment workshops and anatomy classes.
Yoga Philosophy: Delve into the rich history and philosophy of yoga, exploring its origins, principles, and teachings.
Costa Rican Adventures: There will be time for exploring the area on your own, or with a new friend! The beach is across the street and easily accessed for a sunrise or sunset walk or a swim and a nap during the lunch break.
Yoga Camp: Part of the joy of a camp experience is sharing, well, just about everything! Most rooms are double occupancy - we will connect you with a roommate if you don't already have one in mind.
Our days will be very full. If you are interested in receiving credit hours towards teacher training you will be required to attend all of the training sessions. However if you are attending for personal growth and fun, you have the freedom to tailor your day as you wish. All paths are welcome and honored.
The bungalows at Tierra del Sueños are open air with no air conditioning. Temperatures stay between 73-87 degrees year round and it can be very humid. All bungalows have
fans to keep air circulating and the evening air is often cooler. You’ll hear the
sounds of nature all around, so ear plugs are helpful if you need complete silence to sleep.
Costa Rica is a rugged and lush rainforested country. That’s part of the charm and also part of the challenge! Costa Rica is not like North America- to understand “pura vida” (pure life) means to learn to go with the flow. The infrastructure in Costa Rica is not up to the same standards of North America. Everything works most of the time, sometimes things happen!
Above, below and all around town- Monkeys, toucans, sloths and other wildlife inhabit the area. You can experience the quiet and refreshing area around the retreat center booking time in the infrared sauna, a massage or a facial off site. You can rent a bicycle or pedi-cab into Puerto Viejo to experience the active nightlife. Everything and nothing to do, just be.
We recommend that you fly into Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) and then to Limon (LIO). Sansa airlines flies daily from SJO to LIO. Please arrive before 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 9th. We will pick you up at the Limon airport and transport you to Tierra del Suenos.
Return Flight Sunday, June 16th. Departure times 12PM or later are preferable, again from Limon to SJO to your home airport is ideal.
If you prefer to arrive on and earlier date or depart on a different date, we can help you with transportation arrangements but you will be responsible for the transportation fees.
