Before you read on, I want to let you know that all particiapants must be fully vaccinated to attend this retreat. I have chosen the safest possible open air location immersed in nature. The location is on a long stretches of unpopulated beach far away from crowds at an eco-resort near Zihuatanejo.
We will do lots of yoga on the large outdoor yoga shala at this gorgeous and remote 200-acre resort on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. This land is adjacent to miles of a pristine beach and lush jungle with the ocean to the west and the Sierra Madre to the East. The focus is on moving our bodies! We will do Vinyasa, Power, Gentle and Restorative yoga, plus there may be some surprises.
The food is fresh and healthy (much of it grown on site and lovingly prepared by the amazing staff). The entire retreat will be for your health and wellness. The retreat center staff operate like a family. They were a highlight of the week.
The closest “town” is Juluchuca, which has about 550 residents at about 5 min (3 km) from Playa Viva. Then Petatlan which has about 25,000 residents and is located about 10 min (12 km) from Playa Viva.
The yoga decks are extremely large and the sleeping cabañas are very ventilated and large. All activities and meals are outside.
If a COVID test is required before returning to the United States, a trained professional will come to the location and administer a COVID test in time for us to the the results for our flight.
A big bonus is that out visit will help to restore and regenerate the ecosystems of the area and help this eco-resort continue to thrive in what has been a difficult year for them.
