The Accommodations

We will be staying at the lovely Marine Restaurant, Boutique Hotel & The Hatch Coffee Shop.

Located in the beautiful seaside town of Ballybunion, on the Wild Atlantic Way, the Marine Boutique Hotel enchants guests with views of stunning coastline. Escape reality with a warm welcome, elegant dining and intimate bedrooms.

Overlooking the beautiful coastline of the North Kerry leg of the Wild Atlantic Way, the Marine Boutique Hotel is perfect for exploring or relaxing. For activity enthusiasts, cycling, surfing and epic beach and cliff walks are on our doorstep. For those who want to relax and escape the bustle of life, leisurely walks, seaweed baths, character filled bars and seaside frolics are a stone’s throw away.

All double/twin rooms are exclusively decorated with furnishings of the highest standard and coziness to make your stay both special and memorable. We are proud to display the striking original prints of ‘Bally B by the Sea’ by our talented local photographer Grainne Twomey and Jerry Lane Photography in our rooms and throughout the hotel. Guests are welcomed with soothing colours, super-sized and comfortable beds, deluxe linens and peaceful surroundings. Nespresso coffee machines are ideal for coffee connoisseurs to enjoy while sitting back and enjoying our unparallelled coastal views.

All rooms are double occupancy.  During registration, please specify if you would like a twin bed or will be sharing a double bed with your partner.

Food & Drink

The retreat includes dinner each night in the hotel.  The Marine Restaurant’s elegant and relaxed atmosphere welcomes guests with spectacular views of the Wild Atlantic Sea.

The symphony of Irish and international cuisine creates an exquisite fine dining experience for guests. With locally sourced produce and fresh local fish, the Marine Restaurant presents a unique menu boasting signature flavors with Wild Atlantic Way influences. Our famous sirloin steaks, fresh fish and vegetarian dishes feature on our extensive menu.

Additionally, savor the Marine Bar as the picture-perfect place to enjoy a relaxing drink in cozy surroundings. Their bar boasts a wide array of wines, spirits, beers and whiskeys served with a trademark customer service. Our selection of delicious cocktails suits everyone’s taste buds. Guests can sit back and unwind while chatting with friends or family.

During sunny days, guests can enjoy drinks outside on our terrace overlooking the Castle Green and the gorgeous blue flag beach of Ballybunion.

The Yoga

Throughout the week you can expect to practice yoga that is gentle, beginner-friendly, contemplative, and easeful.  No prior yoga experience is necessary.  If you have been practicing for a while, you will enjoy the slow pace of the classes that allow for tremendous depth and exploration in the postures and time to integrate our daily cultural experiences.

The breathwork and meditation practices are accessible and straightforward.  The focus will be on depth and cultivating a mindful presence through open and loving awareness and taking that with us out into the Irish countryside as we interact with the people and environment.

Benefit from a staff of 6 yoga instructors who each bring their own unique heart, wisdom and experience of yoga to the mat.  Cathy Healy, Laurel Adams, Marci Becker, Natalie Javid, Katie Tragni, and Matece Skow.

Ballybunion Yoga Festival

As part of this retreat, you get full access to the Ballybunion Yoga Festival, a two day event bringing together local Irish yogis and teachers with our group.

Enjoy a variety of classes and workshops while making friends with fellow yogis from Ballybunion and beyond.  Some of the offerings included are yoga philosophy and ancient wisdom in the modern day, the history and myths behind the yoga postures, diving into breathwork (pranayama), yoga nidra, shamanic journeying and more!  See our itinerary for more details.

In the evenings, enjoy traditional Irish music in the local pub, arranged especially for us!

Reviews

This experience was beyond what I could have imagined. I walked away rested and with more “tools” to access my own healing and growth. I will definitely be doing this again!
