Parks and Poses! If you're looking to check off all the National Parks from your bucket list travels then you'll love the latest retreat in my Parks and Poses series. Yosemite is famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, and for Tunnel View, the iconic vista of towering Bridalveil Fall and the granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome. In Yosemite Village you can find shops, restaurants, the Yosemite Museum and the Ansel Adams Gallery.
We will be staying at the Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort
which is right off the Central Yosemite Highway. This rustic lodge is 25 miles from the iconic park and there's a transit stop right in front of the lodge. A RT shuttle pass to the park is $12 or you can drive in as well ($30 per car, lasts 7 days or free with a National Parks pass).
Our days will be spent enjoying yoga, the spa at the Yosemite Bug and exploring the trails within the park. This retreat is perfect for those who love to hike, disconnect from the stress of day-to-day-life, enjoys yoga and meeting new people. You can participate in any or all activities and no yoga experience is necessary although a moderate fitness level for the hikes is encouraged.
I have reserved 6 rooms that all have love and character and come in a variety of bed types for couples to solo travelers. These duplex cabins at 300sf each all have forest views and decks with tables and chairs. Not so rustic with fine linens, fine bath products, towels, showers, heat, coolers and wi-fi. The rustic reflects in the lack of TV’s or phones and remote parking.
All day access to the spa is included in your package (excluding departure day). The spa is open from 10am-10pm. The spa is equipped with a H2o2 UV spring fed stainless steel hot tub, cold-rain shower, cedar hot-rock sauna, and a seven jet shower in their deluxe changing rooms. Guests can also (for an additional cost) receive massages, body-scrubs, specialty baths in private tubs in-between yoga classes. All spa rooms open out to the large sunny decks where you can relax with your refreshment of choice or read a book.
Cost includes breakfast, dinner and sack lunches for our on-the-go adventures in the park. Tea, water, coffee and gratuity are also included. The restaurant onsite serves organic fresh food (much of which is sourced from their own garden) and is open from 7am-10am, 11am-2pm and 6-9pm. If you choose not to adventure with us in the park or would like breakfast before yoga or instead of yoga you are free to dine at your own leisure!
Vegan and Vegetarian Meals Available! Please peek at the ever changing food menu for more info: https://www.yosemitebug.com/cafe/

Fall is a great time to visit Yosemite Valley. The crowds thin out dramatically after Labor Day, and daytime temperatures start to cool down. As a result, September is one of the best months for hiking and rock climbing in Yosemite Valley. You'll find dark skies in Yosemite, which is hundreds of miles from major cities. With a star chart, you'll be able to identify some of the formations you may never have seen before. You may be able to see up to 15,000 stars in the park's sky in comparison to 500 or so in an urban sky.
Updated Booking Terms and Conditions due to COVID-19:
As of April 2020, all expeditions departing from 1 June 2020 will continue as planned. If there are any changes, or if your trip is suspended, you will be notified directly. If you choose to suspend your retreat departing from 1 June 2020, you will receive a credit of monies paid to use towards an alternative tour with a departure date before 20 April 2022 (excluding international travel retreats since I work with different vendors and booking companies for those retreats which have their own refund and credit policies).
Given the unprecedented impact of COVID-19, I have been adapting my booking conditions and cancellation policy regularly in response to evolving nature of the situation. The scale of the pandemic has yet to be understood and I am trying to communicate any changes to these terms as quickly as I can in order to be transparent with customers. I am doing my best for those that also rely on my business and providing travel credits helps me do that as well as ensures I am able to run future expeditions. Thank you for understanding!
All deposits are non-refundable. Please see more about my refund policy for all retreats here: http://yogimagee.com/cancellationpolicy/
