YOUR TEACHERS
ANJA - Gentle and kind, yet strong and passionate. Words that describe Anja's nature, her classes and her way to relate with people. Anja is an authentic yoga teacher with a calming and nurturing energy, who expresses her creativity and compassion in her classes. A few years ago she decided to take a leap of faith, quit her coporate job to explore all things new and exciting and followed her dream. She is passionate about inspiring and helping others to follow their heart, and to find their true passion in life. Now she lives an island life in Thailand, teaches group and private classes, loves to help people with yoga therapy and organizes inspiring retreats combining yoga, meditation, coaching and nutrition.
Anja's slow flow vinyasa classes are food for your body, mind & soul. She skillfully translates the ancient knowledge of Hatha Yoga to the modern world, she knows to raise your spiritual awareness and her personal goal is to inspire you and make you feel just a little happier. To get you out of your daily routine and into the present moment she likes to start her classes by guiding you through some gentle pranayama and meditation. Dynamic and energizing sequences are followed by conscious and grounding asanas always keeping the right balance between flexibility and strength, freedom and stability, flow and static, yin and yang. Anja loves to weave storytelling and proper alignment into her yoga teachings.
Anja has been practicing and studying yoga around the world completing her 300h+ teacher training at Yoga Vidya Gurukul in Nasik, India and holding an advanced certification from Jivani Yoga in Koh Phangan, Thailand (RYS 500h). Her love for people, nature, traveling, yoga, nutrition and alternative healing techniques have led her to travel and study with teachers from different spiritual lineages to extend her knowledge. She is also a Reiki and Thai Massage practitioner.
PAULA has 19 years of nursing experience and 10 years of experience as a clinical nurse specialist. Coming from a family of healers, Paula was always interested in a more holistic approach to healing and from 2002-2004, she completed her Reiki training moving up to a Reiki Master. Since 2004, she has been offering Reiki sessions to clients, as well as conducting workshops and meditations in Reiki and Chakra Healing & Balancing in both her native Ireland, and in Koh Phangan, Thailand where she has spent a lot of her time since 2008. Her experience hours in the same are over 1500 hours.
Apart from being a Reiki Master, Paula is a yoga teacher and has also a trained in African Reflexology, Chakra Meditation, Meditations for Healing and works with Crystal Therapy. She has been using a combination of these modalities in working with clients one-on-one and also in conducting group sessions and trainings.
MARIA loves to explore and live life fully. Coming from an artistic background she likes to stay curious and creative in her approach to yoga and likes to mix in unconventional aspects. Chanting is a big passion of her - so don't be surprised if you get woken up from savasana with a song! Her passion for Chanting got ignited when she joined a Kirtan workshop - Kirtan Flight School with one of the most successful Kirtan artist of the contemporary scene Dave Stringer. She loves to play the Harmonium and sing.
Connect with the healing powers of communal chanting and tap into the magic world of sound. Just as we can stretch our bodies with asana and our breath with pranayama, we can elongate our capacity to feel and expand our ability to love with bhakti yoga (chanting).
