About this trip

A gridless life. Most of us have a hard time disconnecting from our cell phones and computers on a day to day basis. This retreat is designed for you to break away from the ordinary and connect with nature and your truest self. Set in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, we'll take three nights and four days away from the stresses of daily life to allow ourselves time to reset.

The lodge features a spacious deck/patio for mat placement or I will be offering yoga in the adjacent meadows. There's also opportunity for walking meditations and star gazing.

This year's Backcountry yoga adventure retreat will take place at the Red Mountain Alpine Lodge

which is a beautiful, brand new custom timber frame lodge located at 11,000feet on Red Mountain Pass. The cute little small town of Ouray is 20 minutes to the North and Silverton is 15 minutes to the south making the positioning of our retreat both convenient and remote. Located conveniently only 300 yards from Highway 550 just at the base of Red Mountain #3, we will have access to some of the best hiking Colorado has to offer.

Hiking options include:

Hiking to the top of Red Mountain #3

Hike the Powerline, Putney, MacMillan Loop

Run to Telluride on the Black Bear Pass Road

Hike to Richmond Basin via Commodore and Spirit Gulches

The 3,2,1, Traverse to Ironton

Hike to the Opus Hut on Ophir Pass via Mineral and Porphyry Gulches

I'll also be offering a day trip hike to Columbine Lake and/or Island Lake in the Ice Lake Basin area.

Leave your worries and bring your hiking boots, there will be no shortage of adventure at this retreat!

*Please note all payments are final. No refunds given on deposits. No exceptions. You have the option to purchase trip insurance upon booking, however, if you decide to opt out of the retreat for any reason, no refunds are given. You may transfer your trip to another guest if you find someone to take your spot for a $90 transfer fee but I am under no obligation to find a replacement for you***

The retreat and Natalie exceeded my expectations! She was easy going, yet super organized and SO fun!! It was so wonderful to not have to plan anything while we were there. It was great to just show up and enjoy yoga, then breakfast and then return for a waterfall hike, etc. and there was no pressure at all if anyone wanted to skip things and chill. I went with my step daughter and soon to be daughter in law and we had a BLAST! All of the women in the group were wonderful, kind, inspirational women. I will definitely book another retread with Natalie!!

I couldn't have dreamed up a better trip! Natalie has a way of bringing together the most incredible individuals, and we all bonded this weekend over a series of activities that were equally rejuvenating and exciting. Plus, Telluride is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. 10/10 would recommend it!

I didn't realize how much I needed something like this until I was there. Great group of women, great food, and wonderful options to try new things, but also zero pressure if you just need some down time.

I feel so fortunate to have been able to attend this retreat with my daughters. The women who attended were so much fun! I walked into the condo with my daughters and left with 10 new friends! The food was wonderful and there was never any pressure to join anything you didn’t feel up to…. This is my second time attending and we will definitely be going again. A HUGE thank you to Natalie for making each and every one of us feel comfortable being our authentic selves and providing the environment to do that….

Natalie, I want to thank you for hosting a memorable retreat for my bestie and I. When she initially asked I was hesitant, I am not all that into yoga and wouldn't know how to do the poses. Your instruction was comforting and even if I had never done yoga I would have been able to get into the poses with the way you cued. But it wasn't just a yoga retreat. It was a freaking awesome ADVENTURE. The views from the hikes, the waterfalls, and the via ferrata were all breathtaking. I know that a group of female strangers getting together isn't for everyone but personally I think we made some lasting friends. Thank you, I know Jess and I will be back!

Had followed Yogi Magee on Instagram for a while and was determined to make one of her adventure trips. Recently attended her “Om in the Ojo” retreat to Santa Fe and I can not positively rave enough! Natalie was so warm and welcoming to everyone. I am not an experienced yogi but she never made me feel self conscious or intimidated. She encouraged me and built my self confidence with each session. Natalie has everything planned perfectly and precisely but every activity was relaxed and flowed effortlessly. There was no pressure to participate in every activity though I could not get enough!! With her encouragement, I deeply bonded with the other women on the retreat and have kept in touch since the adventure. One of the things I loved the most was she had her friend, a extremely talented photographer, capture the whole trip with gorgeous pictures I will treasure forever. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the awesome swag bag!!! I highly recommend Yogi Adventures and can not wait to go on another trip she hosts!
