The retreat is hosted on a beautiful organic farm in Byron Hinterland (Mullumbimby, ten minutes from Byron Bay), Wybalena Organic Farm. Wybalena is a 170 acre organic farm situated in the luscious Byron Shire. It is an idyllic property with rolling green hills, two spring fed creeks and seven large dams. It has plentiful and diverse wildlife and is home to many endangered species.
There is a large architecturally designed farm house with four bedrooms, swimming pool, and numerous outdoor decks. The house has a stunning 20 seat dining table perfect for group dinners and special events. Adjoining buildings include another three bedrooms and a large self contained studio which can be used as a teaching facility and also as a yoga space.
At Byron Yoga Organic Retreats, you will practice an energizing morning yoga and relaxing afternoon yoga. The yoga practice is a fusion between different styles of Yoga, such as Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Hatha yoga. The yoga classes are accessible and suitable for everyone, from beginners to advanced. You will also practice meditation in the morning and afternoon.
Additionally, you will also learn how to build your own organic veggie patch with hands-on gardening workshop. Subjects will include how and where to build a veggie bed, how to create a healthy soil, how to make your own seedlings, what and when to plant, how to treat pest organically, how to fertilize the soil and veggies organically, how to create healthy compost, how to create a worm farm, and understand the importance of mulching.
There will also be a beach time on the beautiful beaches of Byron Bay or Brunswick Heads (15 minutes from Byron Bay).

On the last day, in the morning you will have a group excursion, a walk to the Byron Lighthouse, see some dolphins and have a swim, or a visit to Minyon Falls, a beautiful waterfall with amazing views.

Originally from France, Leah has been living in Byron Bay for 10 years. Trained as an Ashtanga yoga teacher with Dena Kingsberg, she has been teaching yoga in the Byron Shire for more than five years and absolutely loves it. She has a great group of dedicated and loyal students who come to her yoga classes each week. Another love of hers is organic gardening and growing her own food. She worked on few organic farms and found the connection with nature healing and grounding... She wanted to combine her two passions in a beautiful retreat and that's how Byron Yoga Organic Retreats was born!

This yoga retreat includes a one hour deep tissue body massage in the beautiful yoga studio on the farm. This deep tissue massage is an amazing relaxing experience. You feel extremely relaxed in your body and in your mind. Deep tissue massage helps you to release your stress, to ease the pain in your body, to make movement easier, and can also lower the heart rate and blood pressure.
