The teacher on this retreat is Bonnie Prentice. Bonnie is a registered Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist at the 700-hour level who received her certification from the Rocky Mountain Institute of Yoga and Ayurveda in Boulder, Colorado in Classical style yoga. Over the years of her personal practice, she has participated in a number of different styles of yoga including Jivamukti, Iyengar, and Ashtanga which all have a big influence on her personal style of teaching. More recently, in addition to the classical yoga she teaches, she has added an emerging new paradigm of alignment that focuses on developing the natural curves of the body to maximize agility and empowered lightness, known as “bowspring yoga”. This optimal blueprint of alignment returns the natural waves and spirals of the spine (nature is wavy and spiralling) and is something you will take into every part of your life. You will learn how to engage the fascia and the muscles to hold up the bones (instead of collapsing into the joints) alleviating chronic pain and future joint replacements.
All rooms have sea views and 24-hour air-conditioning (optional). You can choose to share a room with a friend or another solo traveller, or alternatively you can also book a room for single occupancy (see below for details). Facilities on the property include a beautiful infinity swimming pool where you can relax and enjoy the swimming (and the views), and a private diving platform into the crystal-clear Aegean sea. There is a secluded beach right next to the property and a stunning coastal path leading in both directions, perfect for walking and exploring the neighbouring coves and villages. In the village you will find two tavernas and a beach bar in case you want to sample the local delicacies independently.
The price includes three delicious vegetarian meals a day with wine served at dinner (optional), except for one night out at the local taverna - allow approx 20 euros (not included in the price).
