About this trip

Walk the Camino Without the Overwhelm,
So You Can Focus on What Matters

For more than 1,000 years, pilgrims have walked the Camino seeking clarity, healing, and perspective.
This journey invites you to do the same, without worrying about logistics, planning, or pace.

I’ve designed this Camino so you can relax into the experience, trust the process, and walk your Camino, your way.

This year, our hotels have been upgraded for even more comfort and rest along the way.

A Thoughtfully Designed Camino Experience

This is a slow-paced, intentional pilgrimage, created for people who want depth without pressure.

  • Average walking distance: ~18 km (11 miles) per day

  • Total distance: 124 km (77 miles) over 6 walking days

  • Plenty of time for pauses, reflection, cafés, and connection

The Camino welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels. What matters most is your willingness to show up — curious, open, and present.

You’ll walk independently during the day, at your own rhythm, while sharing meaningful moments with a small, supportive group each evening.

The Portuguese Coastal Route

Baiona → Santiago de Compostela

This route offers a rare balance:
long stretches by the sea, quiet moments of solitude, and the warmth of shared pilgrimage when you choose it.

It’s reflective without being isolating, social without being overwhelming. A balance I’ve come to love after walking multiple Caminos myself.

Trip Dates & Flow

  • Arrive in Santiago to take our shuttle, or meet us in Baiona: June 1, 2026

  • Begin walking: June 2

  • Arrive in Santiago: June 7 (farewell dinner together)

  • Depart: June 8

Transportation from Santiago to Baiona is included.

What Your Days Will Feel Like

  • Optional morning grounding meditation and nourishing breakfast (~8am)

  • Independent walking with time to stop for local food, coffee, quiet reflection, or socialization.

  • Evenings together with group dinners and restful, carefully selected accommodations (~8pm)

This rhythm allows the Camino to work on you — gently, naturally, without forcing anything.

Preparing for the Walk (With Support)

I’m happy to share a suggested training plan to support you.

By joining, you’re committing to preparing your body to walk up to 25 km (15.5 miles) on one day, if needed — and I’ll be there to guide you through that process.

Practical Notes (So There Are No Surprises)

  • Flexible payment plans available — just ask

  • Fly into Santiago or Vigo Airport

  • Single rooms are requested, though in rare cases availability may require shared accommodations

This Camino Is for You If…

You want to slow down without stopping your life
You want space to think, and space to feel supported
You want a pilgrimage that’s meaningful, not rushed
You want to walk with intention, not exhaustion

If that sounds like you, I’d be honored to walk this Camino with you.

Day 1 - Monday June 1

Day 1 - Monday June 1 image

Arrival in Santiago with shuttle to Baiona

(If you fly into an airport different from Santiago, you'll meet the group in Baiona)

We arrive in Baiona around 4:00pm and have the afternoon to enjoy this charming coastal town. Famous as the first port in Europe to announce the discovery of America, Baiona invites us to visit landmarks like the Monument to the Encounter between Two Worlds and the Pinta Caravel Museum.

By the water, the Monterreal Fortress rises above the bay, offering beautiful views of the ocean and the distant Cíes Islands. A short walk uphill takes us to the Virgen de la Roca, an impressive stone statue of the Virgin Mary holding a boat, where the views are well worth the climb. We’ll turn in early so we can start our walk after a good breakfast!

On your first day, you will be given a special passport, called a credencial, to collect stamps along the way. Each stamp marks a step of your journey and, at the end, lets you receive your Compostela in Santiago, a special reward for your effort!

Day 2 - Tuesday June 2

Day 2 - Tuesday June 2 image

Baiona to Vigo - 20 Km

We start the day with the fresh sea breeze as we walk 20 km along the coast, enjoying views that follow us all the way to our stop for the night. As we leave the city, we’ll take in the incredible views of the Bay of Vigo and the Cíes Islands, a beautiful archipelago just offshore.

Our day ends at a seaside hotel, the perfect place to rest and listen to the waves after our first full day on the Camino. From here, the route will soon lead us into a beautiful mix of forest paths and coastal scenery, setting the tone for the days ahead.

Day 3 - Wednesday June 3

Day 3 - Wednesday June 3 image

Vigo to Redondela - 19.5 Km

We leave our coastal hotel on the Bay of Vigo and continue our walk with beautiful views over the Vigo Estuary, one of the deepest in the Rías Baixas. This area is known as the oyster and seafood capital of the world, and the sea feels close at every step.

Our route takes us through Vigo and the small village of Sete Fontes before arriving in Redondela, known for its 19th-century viaducts. Here in Redondela, the Portuguese Coastal Route joins the Portuguese Interior Route, and we continue on together toward the next stage of our Camino!

Day 4 - Thursday June 4

Day 4 - Thursday June 4 image

Redondela to Pontevedra - 17 Km

Today’s walk takes us across the River Verdugo on Ponte Sampaio, a medieval bridge famous as the site of the last battle in Galicia against Napoleon’s army, a battle that ended in his defeat. From here, we follow a cobbled path through small towns, with charming panoramic views of the Bay of Vigo along the way.

By afternoon, we arrive in Pontevedra, a city full of character and history. Its well-preserved old quarter is perfect for a relaxed stroll, and its gastronomy is a true treat. One highlight not to miss is the 18th-century Shrine of the Virgin Pilgrim, dedicated to Our Lady, the Virgin Pilgrim, and considered one of the city’s most emblematic landmarks.

Day 5 - Friday June 5

Day 5 - Friday June 5 image

Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis - 21 Km

We begin the day walking through fragrant pine and eucalyptus forests, then continue through a string of small villages. Along the way, we pass the statue of Santiago in Lombo da Maceira, a well-known marker for pilgrims.

A worthwhile detour leads to A Barosa, where a hidden tapas bar sits beside an old mill at the base of a beautiful waterfall on the Agra River (an inviting spot for a swim or picnic).

Before reaching Caldas de Reis, we pass through Tivo, known for its fountain and old public laundry, and by the Church of Santa Teresa before crossing the River Umia. In Caldas de Reis, you can visit the natural hot springs, the perfect way to relax and soothe your body after a full day’s walk.

Day 6 - Saturday June 6

Day 6 - Saturday June 6 image

Caldas de Reis to Padron - 19 Km

With each step, we draw closer to our final destination. Today’s walk offers beautiful landscapes and glimpses into the rich culture of these lands. We can pause in Santa Mariña before descending toward the River Fontelo, which signals our approach to Padrón, a town in the province of A Coruña famous for its peppers.

Padrón is also known as the birthplace of two beloved writers, Rosalía de Castro and Camilo José Cela. According to legend, the last place Saint James preached in Padrón was Santiaguiño do Monte, where he is said to have regularly shared his message during his time in Galicia before returning to Judea, where he was martyred. Here, you can stroll through charming streets and visit the 18th-century Convent of Carmen or the Church of Santiago, built near the spot where, according to tradition, the disciples of the Apostle moored the boat carrying his body.

Day 7 - Sunday June 7

Day 7 - Sunday June 7 image

Padron to Santiago - 24 Km

Our final stage takes us through small, traditional villages before reaching A Escravitude, where you can visit its sanctuary and the fountain said to have healing powers. From here, there are beautiful views of the Castro Lupario fortress, an important archaeological site in the region.

We then follow a shaded oak path and begin a steady ascent to Agros dos Monteiros, the highest point on the Camino, where an incredible panoramic view of Santiago awaits—sometimes even revealing the cathedral towers in the distance. On the way down, we pass near the ruins of Rocha Forte Castle, once a symbol of feudal power.

Soon, the yellow arrows fade, a sign that the end is near. We enter Santiago’s old town through the Porta Faxeira, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and walk along Rua do Franco, where the excitement builds with every step until we arrive at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, believed to hold the remains of the Apostle. Here, you can take a moment to savor the joy of arrival and, if you wish, join the Pilgrim’s Mass, a centuries-old tradition welcoming all who have completed the journey.

We will spend the night in Santiago and enjoy the morning exploring this beautiful city.

Departure from Santiago

There is so much to see in Santiago! If you can stay in Santiago for a day, take your time to wander the streets of the old town, full of charming churches, cozy bars, and inviting restaurants. One favorite spot is the Plaza de Abastos, a lively market that isn’t crowded with pilgrims.

Don’t miss sitting on the stairs of the Plaza de la Quintana and stepping inside the Cathedral. If you want to visit the Portico de la Gloria inside the cathedral without waiting in long lines, it’s best to book a time in advance. The ticket is a QR code that lets you enter at your scheduled time, and once inside, you can enjoy the newly restored Portico and explore the rest of the cathedral.

Afterwards, you can take your stamped passport to the Pilgrim’s Office to collect your Compostela, the official certificate of completing the Camino. For the best views of the city and the Cathedral, visit the gardens of the Alameda or the park of Santo Domingo de Bonaval, perfect spots to reflect on your journey!

This will be an unforgettable journey! Be proud of the courage and heart it took to walk this legendary path, you will carry the memories and lessons of the Camino with you always.

About your organizer

Hello, I’m Valentina! I've been planning mindfulness and wellness trips since 2018. I’m a certified mindfulness instructor and trained in hypnosis techniques by Dr. Brian Weiss. I’m passionate about weaving together mindfulness, travel, and wellness. I’ve discovered that one of the biggest things holding people back from traveling is the stress of planning. That’s why I’ve combined my love for travel and mindfulness to create retreats where most of it is organized—so you can relax, recharge, and focus on what matters, your wellbeing.
