About this trip

In these pandemic times with waves of uncertainty and circumstances to navigate, it is so critical to take time to retreat.

Retreats generate the power for something positive or transformational to emerge. As we say ‘yes’ to unplugging from our daily responsibilities, technology, and work, we have the opportunity to begin a new cycle that regenerates health and radiance at the cellular level.

The topic of beauty has been a thread within my teaching practice for at least 13 years. I was first inspired from the book “Notes on the Need for Beauty” by J. Ruth Gendler. This book helped me see and feel beauty through new eyes and discover how my inner beauty critic was excessively draining my energy. At that moment I was ready to change my habits, points of view and instead engage in deeper levels of forgiveness, empowering rituals and encourage new positive mantras. I have found WildCore to be that place of refuge or sacred space to do this deep work that extends as a thread into most women and their self-image. Dancing, sweeping energy, beginning again and forgiveness have been my greatest allies and I want to share them with you!

Your Wild Beauty Retreat is designed for women ready to walk, dance and live a lifestyle rooted in their wild beauty. We will open our senses to beauty as energy, discover how our sight may lead us to insight, reveal our ugliness and unveil the wild and beautiful goddess within.

Each day will begin with a morning ritual, which will vary from meditation, breathwork or free movement. There will be a session that blends yoga, dance, journaling and sharing before lunch with the whole afternoon off to play. We will gather again in late afternoon to integrate with art, ritual, and creative expression. This retreat will include a sweat lodge and cacao ceremony provided by the retreat center’s staff, along with side adventures and time to relax & integrate.

I am happy to announce my guest teacher Titina vanHoorn will be joining us and her expertise in leading Shamanic Breath-work, Journeys and Personal Sessions.

Here is a brief description of what Titina offers:

Breath work meditation

This is an active form of meditation that uses breath, similar to kundalini yoga, for greater vitality in your system through the chakras. It is a practice that allows one to, not only clear any stagnant energy in your field, but bring in greater clarity of thought and a connection to your higher wisdom.

Throughout the week, I will offer this approximately 30-minute meditation, with a variety of different ways to use this as a practice and intention-setting tool in your life.

Shamanic Energy Session

If you have any issues that you feel are limiting your life, this Shamanic session will assist you in clearing beyond what you are conscious of, in order to open the way for greater ease and healing in your life. I work with unconscious beliefs, ancestral and karmic lines, as well as accessing your purpose and higher potential. Most clients report immediately feeling lighter after the session, with a new perspective on what has limited them. I then support you in anchoring this energetic shift for lasting change in your life.

Covid-19 Protocols

Traveling to semi remote villages in Guatemala during a pandemic was a huge concern. I made sure to reach out to the retreat owners to get an idea of how the virus has been in their area. It seems that they spiked about 4 months ago and do rely on tourism for their economy, so they are happy to have travelers coming through.

I am asking each participant to be fully vaccinated and have a negative Covid test within 72 hours of departing the U.S. to travel to Guatemala for the retreat.

My intention is to create a safe and healthy space. All of our activities within this retreat will be held outdoors.

Brietta is a teacher of dance in its many forms of healing, prayer, play and conditioning. She grew up as a dancer and discovered her path as a healing artist, while traveling in Asia. The combination of Brietta’s devotion to the dance, her gypsy spirit, family roots & passion to support herself and others into an embodied conscious awakening has birthed her own trademarked movement form called WildCore. Her years of study as a conscious dance leader and mentor for Soul Motion™ began to blend with 15 years as a Nia teacher, Massage Therapist, Shamanic student, devoted yogi, pranic healer, reiki practitioner, apprentice to mother -nature, energy enthusiast & performer. All of which contributed to WildCore’s development. Brietta loves to inspire self-healing through movement and offers classes, workshops & co-creative retreats and performances to her hometown of Sandpoint, Idaho, surrounding areas and internationally.

Thank you for a dynamic dance series. Showing up for your classes is effortless and rewarding.

WildCore is just what I needed. After years of various freeform dance and choreography based classes, WildCore hits the spot with a weaving in and out of movement phrases and wisely led free exploration. Brietta flirts with mastery, but what I really love, is the grounded, lighthearted and respectful way of connecting with her own dance and ours. Mollia Jensen

Brietta is an inspiration. She is able to involve all students as a collective, even over zoom. We all feel connected. A gifted dancer and choreographer, Brietta is playful and encourages everyone to find the movements to help themselves grow healthier, stronger, and more in balance. Each class is a workout and a soulful exploration.

"WildCore" movement is wonderful for the body and soul! I have really enjoyed the dance routines as a spiritual practice and physical workout. Brietta is a skilled facilitator and gracefully weaves various elements into the routines. I highly recommend the classes and offerings! Heather, Southern Oregon

I didn't have far to go to the venue. The people who were from out of town seemed very well taken care of, lodged and fed. Soul Motion with Michael Molin-Skelton was amazing, nourishing, catalytic, enjoyable, well paced and lovely. He created the space beautifully and led some wonderful exercises with plenty of room for exploration and growth. I enjoyed the company/other participants a great deal and look forward to more Soul Motion experiences in the future.
