About your trip
Get your groms surfing with Tommy Roche and Kate Fox who have been teaching surf to youth for over 6 years. With their combined knowledge and skill sets, Kate and Tommy make a great team.
Each day we will suit up bright and early and head to the beach. There will be land lesson and warm ups before we head to the ocean! Each day will include snack and rest time, 2 mini land lessons, and 2 water sessions, timing permitting.
Land lessons will include wave reading, safety, understanding winds, surf etiquette, board control, and surf skill building.
Our goal is to have fun and send each kid away with confidence and ocean awareness.
This is a great way to learn how to surf or level up your current surfing skills!
This particular camp is set up for teens and pre-teens ages 12-16.

Personalized instruction from Tommy and Kate
Snacks
BYO Water but some snacks are provided. If you have a picky kid or food sensitivities, send them with extra snacks.
Rentals
Wetsuits and board rentals included
Changing tent
We recommend getting suited up before if possible, but if not we will have a privacy tent for those who need it!
What's not included
Water Bottles
We encourage everyone to bring their own bottles so we aren't bringing plastics on to the beach.
Towels
Bring your own warm clothing and changing towels

Wave Alchemy Surf was created by Kate Fox who is a life long water woman. Surfing is a very multifaceted activity that requires an understanding of the ocean, the ever changing natural environments, gear, etiquette, water safety, and ourselves. Wave Alchemy moves beyond just skill building, it was designed to provide a big picture education of the many elements of surfing to help create the best possible experience in the water while facilitating a deeper connection with the ocean and ultimately ourselves.
