Join us for a transformational yoga safari retreat in Botswana. Slow down, stretch out, and breathe under the African sky. This isn’t just a retreat, it’s a reset. Seven days of daily yoga, wildlife immersion, and tranquil bush living. Set against Botswana’s untouched wilderness, this journey invites you to realign with what matters. Come solo or bring a friend. Either way, you’ll return home transformed. This yoga safari retreat is hosted by Yown Yoga at Munga Plains.
With sustainability at its core for minimal environmental impact, Munga Plains is dedicated to the well-being and growth of the local community. Situated on the former tribal land of the Basubiya people, the company honors their cultural heritage by hiring local staff, supporting artisans, and collaborating on community projects. Guests experience local traditions and lifestyles, ensuring every visit positively impacts the community.
At Yownn Yoga, we create transformative experiences that support long-lasting wellness. Our focus is on curating yoga retreats, rejuvenating yoga brunches, and bespoke yoga events designed to help you unplug, reconnect & refresh. Whether it’s a tranquil yoga retreat in nature or a mindful yoga brunch with like-minded individuals, each of our offerings is thoughtfully crafted to nourish your body, mind, and soul.

Kristen Kerecman
Kristen took her first yoga class at 18 and was immediately drawn to the energy and rhythm of Jivamukti and Vinyasa. Through years of a fast-paced career, yoga became her medicine—a way to channel anxiety into movement, reset, breathe, and stay grounded. Over time, her practice has evolved—just like life. After earning her teacher certification in 2011, she taught on and off while working in communications and social impact, and living across the U.S., Southeast Asia, and now Southern Africa. These days, her focus is on slower, grounding practices that create space for stillness, restoration, and breath.
She believes yoga offers what we so often forget to give ourselves: a moment of calm, a deeper breath, and the reminder that it’s okay to slow down.
