About this trip

Are you a flexible traveler? Do you love hiking no matter what the conditions are? Would you rather sacrifice an evening yoga session for a sunset on top of a mountain if the situation called for it? Do you like getting to know people but also love exploring at your own pace?

Then this adventure retreat is for you.

This is the ultimate adventure retreat for the passionate about hiking yogi. We'll be staying in a gorgeous house outside the EAST side of the park where you can wake up and be first on the trails. Zion Ponderosa Ranch is right next door giving you access to  massages, ATV Tours and Paintball, horseback riding, game room, rock climbing, the activities and 'once-in-a-lifetime' experiences won't be found anywhere else in the region. If there's enough interest we'll plan an afternoon in Bryce Canyon National Park where we can hike among the hoodoos. Escalante isn't too far away as well for those wanting to explore the slot canyons there.

After a long day of exploring come back to base camp and cook a hot meal in the gourmet kitchen then soak in the hot tub under the stars. Daily yoga will compliment the activities and allow us to connect as a group before and after embarking on our adventures.

From my previous trip to Zion I can say the number one requirement for those attending is flexibility. Many of the hikes in the park (Narrows, Angel's Landing) are weather dependent and while I try and build a schedule our plans may change day to day based on weather. It's also about a half hour drive to get from the house to the visitor center and the shuttles take a bit to get you to your destination so our days in the park can be longer than anticipated. A rental car is strongly recommended so you can explore at your leisure. The closest airport to fly into is St. George or it's about a 10 hour drive from Denver.

Those attending the retreat should have a moderate fitness level as the majority of the hikes in the park are strenuous.

An adventure retreat it was! So great to get up into the mountains and experience the Telluride through hiking and yoga. Of course there was also some SUP and biking. The great thing about this adventure is it allows for choice. Natalie was fantastic, responding to the needs of the group and even offering up an extra meditation session before the Via Ferrata portion of the day. I took full advantage of this session as this was my stretch during this adventure and a bit more mindfulness was very welcomed. Also a very lovely group of women to share the time with. If you are looking for adventure mixed in with yoga, this is your retreat!
This trip was awesome. You can go as a beginner or as a real adventurer and you will love it the same. There's a lot to do but you can opt out of some things and just have downtime yourself or you can go on all the adventures. I was really impressed by how organized it was and the quality of wonderful people who came - plus the setting where we stayed in - Telluride -- was absolutely gorgeous. What we did on this trip: hiked waterfalls, did yoga on mountaintops, SUP on a lake, biked to a brewery and so much more. Natalie is an amazing leader and instructor and you'll walk away from this trip feeling energized and renewed... This trip was 5 stars all around. The only advice I'd give is if you can afford to, get a queen bed - so comfy and it's nice to have some privacy.

Great women's trip. Full of adventure and fun. A great way to meet new people, share experiences and learn from each other. Easy schedule with flexibility to match your needs. Location is stunning. Highly recommend to anyone desiring to try something outside their comfort zone and willing to be supported by a great group of women.

I have been on yoga retreats all over the world -- as close as Big Sur, California where I'm from and as far as Ubud, Bali. This retreat, though, was something special. I loved the relaxed vibe and adventurous spirit. This can be a retreat where you just lay by the pool and soak in the mountainous beauty of Telluride, or it can be an extreme adventure. Going into it, I would recommend thinking of it more as an adventure retreat than a traditional yoga retreat. But that's what makes it so great and unique. You get to rent/borrow/buy a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and venture to an alpine lake, push your limits on the Via Ferrata, and explore locals-only waterfalls with Natalie as your guide. But if those aren't your jam, go get a massage at one of Telluride's many spas or enjoy a quite spot on a river or lake or find a coffee shop and soak in a good book . . . the options are endless! You get to make the retreat whatever you need, and there's no judgment based on the choices that you make. I appreciate that Natalie is not a micro-manager and really allows you to take the reigns based on your wants and needs. I will definitely be back for another retreat with Natalie in the future! Enjoy your adventure, friends!
