About this trip

Are you a flexible traveler? Do you love hiking no matter what the conditions are? Would you rather sacrifice an evening yoga session for a sunset on top of a mountain if the situation called for it? Do you like getting to know people but also love exploring at your own pace?

Then this adventure retreat is for you.

This is the ultimate adventure retreat for the passionate about hiking yogi. We'll be staying in a gorgeous house in the town of Springdale located on the West side of the park where you can wake up and be first on the trails. We are less than .5 miles from Zion National Park main entrance and 500 feet from the nearest Free Shuttle stop! It is 5 minutes by foot to seven different restaurants, a grocery store, gift shops, and more.

If there's enough interest we'll plan an afternoon in Bryce Canyon National Park where we can hike among the hoodoos. Escalante isn't too far away as well for those wanting to explore the slot canyons there.

After a long day of exploring come back to base camp and cook a hot meal in the gourmet kitchen or hang out on the back porch under the stars. Daily yoga will compliment the activities and allow us to connect as a group before and after embarking on our adventures.

From my previous trip to Zion I can say the number one requirement for those attending is flexibility. Many of the hikes in the park (Narrows, Angel's Landing) are weather dependent and while I try and build a schedule our plans may change day to day based on weather.  A rental car is strongly recommended so you can explore at your leisure. The closest airport to fly into is St. George or it's about a 10 hour drive from Denver.

Those attending the retreat should have a moderate fitness level as the majority of the hikes in the park are strenuous.

Getting there

The closest airports to Zion Canyon are Saint George Municipal Airport (SGU) serviced by Skywest, Delta, and United (SGU), 1 hour south, and McCarran International Airport (LAS), 2.5 hours south.

Saint George Shuttle runs daily from Las Vegas to Saint George, UT, and Red Rock Shuttle (435-635-9104) or Zion Guru can pick you up in Saint George and transport to Nama-Stay (inquire for pricing). Saint George Express offers daily transport from Las Vegas to Zion Canyon with one change over. We have found it best to call them directly for that reservation.

Rental cars are available at either airport. April through October, the free Zion Canyon Shuttle, operating in Zion Canyon and Springdale, is excellent for basic transportation through town or into Zion Canyon for many of the park's famous hikes.

A private shuttle transfer can be arranged as well for a nominal fee.

Is there a grocery store nearby?

Sol Foods is 200 yards and less than 3 minutes walk up Juniper Lane. They have a full-service grocery store with a deli, produce section, bakery, and more. "Down the hill" in LaVerkin large grocers include Dave's Market (21 miles), and further yet, Lin's Market (25 miles), Wal-Mart (28 miles), and Costco (35 miles). Those driving in can pick up groceries along the way and re-supply at Sol Foods very conveniently.

Second house rental option

I will limit this retreat to a max of 15 but if the Nama-stay house fills up then I will be renting a second house next door. The purpose of this will be to have the cooking and guests stay at one house while the yoga practice and gathering space will be held at the Nama-stay. The second house has 6 bedrooms:

Basement room: 2 bedrooms. One with a queen bed and one with a queen bed and a twin bed

Main level room: 3 bedrooms. Two rooms with a single queen bed and one room with two queen beds

Loft room: one bedroom with 2 queen beds and a private bathroom with a tub and shower.

Pricing for bedrooms will be marked accordingly.

I had the most amazing time! From the moment we arrived and Michelle was there to greet us, to the accomodations, the activities, and the last farewell. Future trips with Natalie are in my plans and I appreciate all the organization and ability to easily go with the flow when weather didn't do what we wanted. Thank you Natalie!!

Thank you, Natalie! Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed Telluride and all the wonderful activities you had planned for us. What a beautiful setting to relax and rejuvenate! You know how to create the perfect balance of adventure, fun, and relaxation!
If you are looking for an amazing, transformative retreat, you have found it! From day 1 of connecting with Natalie about whether I could/should sign up for this retreat, she showed wonderful communication skills and kindness. I was flying into Denver from out of state and her assistance helped me connect with other retreat goers so that I could carpool from Denver to Telluride. Her kindness, organization and professionalism continued as I stepped foot into the main condo on night 1 of the retreat. In addition, her positive energy allowed us all to connect on night 1 for what would be a trip of a lifetime with other adventure seeking ladies. Natalie plans a copious amount of adventure activities, yet respects your decision to do as much or as little as you'd like. However, coming from out of state, I didn't want to miss a thing and I am glad that I did ALMOST everything. The only activity that I did not participate in was the paragliding. I am ok with that knowing I hope to sign up for this retreat again. :) As each day and adventure came and went, I kept thinking to myself, this just keeps getting better and better! (SUP, Mountain biking to the brewery, Via Ferrata, Terrace Happy Hour/Yoga, Telluride Hike, Wine tasting, Dinner at FloraDora) The yoga she led was relaxing, transformative, and appropriately challenging for me. She knew with each day what kind of practice would best serve our groups' needs. The scenery and locations of her yoga were absolutely beautiful! I went as a solo traveler and felt like a part of a family when I left. I had a wonderful trip that was refreshing and inspiring. I learned so much about life and myself during this adventure and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you Natalie! If it weren't for you, none of this would be possible. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in adventure, finding much needed time for yourself, loves nature and enjoys being a part of a group of ladies who are ready for fun!

My first time to Telluride didn't disappoint...a non stop adrenaline fueled trip backed with beauty and some yoga to bring you back to center. The via Ferrata and paragliding in such a painfully beautiful place was surreal and I feel like the luckiest person in the world. The accommodations were lovely right on the river and the town in well kept and adorable. Everyone should take this retreat!

Amazing experience. Natalie did such a great job curating a memorable and meaningful experience. She has a special skill of bringing together individuals and making them into a group of friends. Her encouragement was appreciated and she has a special skill for helping people move out of their comfort zone. We commented there this was summer camp for adults and it was the best! I loved how Natalie provided lots of opportunities to do things but it was up to each individual what they wanted to participate in.
