BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between Tuviro Travels Safaris and you, our client. Tuviro Travels Safaris presumes that you are of sufficient legal age to use the website and create binding legal obligations. These are the sole terms and conditions that will apply and by signing up for a Tuviro Travels Safaris trip, or any other service therein you accept to be bound by these terms and conditions.  


Payment Terms: 'The booking' refers to part or all of the travel arrangements for transportation, accommodation, flights, sightseeing excursions, meals, entertainment and other linked services made on behalf of the client, some of which may be subcontracted from other independent suppliers. A binding contract between you, the client and Tuviro Travels Safaris comes into existence when we receive your booking request and a deposit payment for the booking.

Payment upon confirming services: A deposit of 30% of the total booking value is required in order to confirm part or all of the booking. Certain suppliers impose more stringent payment policies. Should your program include services of such suppliers, Tuviro Travels Safaris will advise you at the time of booking if your booking will require some additional deposit payments. The balance is payable 60 days before the date of the first service by Tuviro Travels Safaris. Should the client fail to remit payments in line with these set time frames, Tuviro Travels Safaris reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled and thereby apply any resultant penalties.  


Cancellations by Client: Cancellations 120 days or more prior to departure will receive refund minus 30% deposit and $800 per person administrative fee. 120 days or less will be subject to full cancelation fee.


Insurance: All guests are strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance covering them for luggage, personal effects, personal accident, medical and emergency travel expenses, cancellation and curtailment of travel arrangements because bookings will be subject to cancellation penalties as detailed above.  


Cancellations or Changes by Tuviro Travels Safaris: Tuviro Travels Safaris reserves the right to discontinue and summarily cancel any booking in respect of which payment has fallen in arrears. In the event of this right being exercised, relevant cancellation penalties will be payable by the client or deducted from any deposit payments already made.


Note: Tuviro Travels Safaris is committed to maintaining a close and mutually beneficial relationship with all its clients. We realize that the satisfaction of our clients is our greatest asset. Our morals therefore are guided by a high level of professionalism, honesty and Integrity. From the time you send us your first enquiry, you will be served by a dedicated consultant till the time you return home. Your travel arrangements will be reviewed every so often in order to eliminate chances of errors and omissions. In the unlikely event that Tuviro Travels Safaris has to cancel, amend or curtail your travel arrangements due to our negligence, our failure to exercise care in making the arrangements for you and /or breach of our contractual agreement, we will take liability.  


3rd Party Suppliers: Tuviro Travels Safaris acts as a booking agent for hotels, airlines, ground transporters, boat operators, hot air balloon companies and other independent contractors providing accommodations, transportation, and other services that Tuviro Travels Safaris subcontracts on behalf of its clients. Each of these companies is an independent company and is not subject to the control of Tuviro Travels Safaris. Tuviro Travels Safaris therefore will not be liable for any personal injury, property damage or loss which may occur as a result of using such subcontracted services however, Tuviro Travels Safaris will always endeavour to contract services of companies which in our discretion, deliver the contracted services in the appropriate quality while adhering to the laws of the land. In the event that any supplier is unable to provide contracted services for whatever reason, Tuviro Travels Safaris will endeavor to offer you alternative arrangements of similar classification whenever possible. Should you not be willing to take the alternative arrangements offered by Tuviro Travels Safaris, any refunds to which you may be entitled will be subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant supplier. You may not delegate convey or assign your rights duties and obligations entered with Tuviro Travels Safaris.


Force Majeure: "Force Majeure" means any circumstances where the execution of contractual services is prevented or affected by factors beyond the reasonable control of Tuviro Travels Safaris including, but not limited to acts of God, war and threat of war, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural disasters such as weather conditions, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, fire, governmental actions and other unexpected occurrences. In these circumstances, we shall not be liable to pay any compensation or otherwise be responsible for any expenses or losses the client may incur where we are forced as a result to cancel, delay, curtail or change the clients’ arrangements in any way or where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected. Tuviro Travels Safaris also reserves the right to accept or decline any traveler on any trip, before or during the trip should such person's mental or physical condition impede the operation of the service or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other travelers. In this case a refund of the unused land services is the limit of Tuviro Travels Safaris liability to the traveler removed. We also reserve the right to alter or modify the itinerary of any tour or relocate accommodation if schedules, security matters and/or events beyond our control make such explained above.  


Travel Documents: It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that their passport, visa, health certificates, inoculations, or other documentation required for the trip are obtained, valid and that are all in order. Should Tuviro Travels Safaris incur any costs as a result of failure by the client to fulfill this responsibility, such costs shall be recovered from the client. Malaria is endemic in some parts of Africa and precautions must be taken. It is recommended you visit your primary physician or local travel clinic to review any medications or recommended inoculations. Be sure to carry your inoculation certificate with you as proof of inoculations. If you are concerned about taking any medications, check with your physician before you book your trip.  


Special Requests & Important Information: The client must either directly or through their travel agent, advice Tuviro Travels Safaris in writing of any special requests or important information about themselves such as diet, physical disability and any need for special treatment or handling at the time of booking.

Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls presents a spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, forming the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It was described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800s as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ – ‘The Smoke that Thunders’. In more modern terms Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world.

Enjoy a range of activities to get to know the region better. Take an exciting helicopter ride over the magnificent waterfall and watch the river waters plunge down in all their mist and glory. Get to know Africa’s gentle giants better at the elephant sanctuary and orphanage by the Masuwe River, near Victoria Falls. Enjoy a breakfast or a sunset cruise down the river on luxury river boats that ply the Zambezi River. Watch islands go by, spot wildlife by the river banks and soak in the tranquil ambience. Relax with refreshing sundowners on the outdoor deck of Buffalo Bar, overlooking the region’s waterholes, as you wait for elephant herds to join you for a sunset drink across the waters. Savor delicious luncheons or alfresco dinners at the popular restaurant, Lookout Cafe, while enjoying the fantastic panoramic view.   • Guided Tour of Victoria Falls: Head out and discover the Smoke that Thunders! This tour will take you to all the highlights surrounding Victoria Falls. Stand at the ideal vantage point overlooking the heart of the mighty waters as they gush and roar. Pack your waterproofs because the closer you get, the more likely you are to experience the spray! (Time: Early morning or late afternoon; Duration: 2-3 hrs; Private Activity; Fitness level: Easy, Please wear appropriate footwear; Rain Coat recommendable between March and May )
  • Lunch at Lookout Cafe: Savor a delicious lunch at the The Lookout Café, while enjoying a spectacular, panoramic view of the thundering Victoria Falls. Meet your local guide at your hotel before driving down to the town’s iconic eatery. The restaurant and bar is also accessible to differently abled guests. Settle down in the alfresco dining area at the outdoor terrace facing the mighty waterfall and relish the local African and global cuisines served here. Try a freshly grilled Zambezi bream in white wine sauce, served with salad and French fries, or a duet of roast zucchini and mushrooms with halloumi in a puff pastry shell. Finish off with a delectable fresh fruit kebab, drizzled with cinnamon and honey.   • Elephant Encounter in the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary and Orphanage: Get to know Africa’s gentle giants at the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary and Orphanage, nestled by the Masuwe River near Victoria Falls. Meet your local guide at your Victoria Falls hotel before driving down to the elephant sanctuary. Settle down in a thatched boma, and learn all about the sanctuary and its various activities, including the conservation efforts. Walk out into the bush with elephant guides, picking up insightful information about these majestic creatures. Experience the magic of encountering elephants in their natural habitat. Later, enjoy the refreshments back at the boma, before the drive back to your hotel. Zimbabwe

To experience the best of Zimbabwe, you need to start with a deep knowledge of its many facets and the possibilities it holds. At night, the sound of a hippo grunting rises up from the river at Mana Pools National Park.

Zambezi National Park

 

  • Game Drives and Boat Cruises at Imbabala Zambezi Safari Lodge: Enjoy thrilling game drives at Imbabala Lodge in Zimbabwe. Set on the banks of the Zambezi River in a private National Parks concession in Zimbabwe, the lodge offers fantastic opportunities to see iconic animals, from carnivores such as lion and the elusive wild dog to herbivores such as giraffe, kudu and herds of elephant that can go up to a thousand strong. Take your pick of morning, afternoon, or night drives in an open 4×4 vehicle. All game drives are led by an experienced guide. Depending on the drive, enjoy a morning cup of tea or coffee with snacks or evening drinks with snacks. Imbabala is also an excellent location for bird watching. In addition to the game drives, you can set out on the Zambezi River in a pontoon boat either in the morning or afternoon. Spot myriad waterbirds from the deck and keep an eye out for hippos and swimming elephants. Have your camera ready to capture the stunning sunset over the water. Hwange

Named after a local Nhanzwa chief, Hwange National Park is the largest Park in Zimbabwe occupying roughly 14 650 square kilometers. Hwange boasts a tremendous selection of wildlife with over 100 species of mammals and nearly 400 bird species recorded. The elephants of Hwange are world famous and the Park’s elephant population is one of the largest in the world.

Hwange National Park

 

  • Game Drives, Walks: Robins Camp is located in a remote north-western region of Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park. In-house guides conduct group game drives and walks into the park, to allow you to experience the vast variety of landscapes, flora and fauna. The grasslands and woodlands of the park are home to the Big Five and many other mammals. The park has more than 50,000 elephants, Africa’s largest population of the endangered wild dog, rare species of antelope such as sable, greater kudu, gemsbok and roan. Cheetah, giraffe, leopard, lion, buffalo, wildebeest and zebra are commonly seen in the park. At dawn and dusk, the spotted hyena makes an appearance. You may also encounter black and white rhinos. There are about 500 species of birds for bird lovers to look out for. Take both the early morning and afternoon guided game drives to soak different wildlife experiences. You could also request a guided game walk that extends from an hour to three hours. (Duration: 3 hrs, Game drives are conducted in the morning and late afternoon with other camp guests; Kindly note that some of the morning activities are early in the morning and it can be cold so please bring warm clothes; Please wear good walking shoes and light colored clothing; Only those above 16 years are permitted to join in the optional game walks.)
