ABOUT THIS TRIP

Join Samaritan's Feet for a meaningful mission experience in Zimbabwe as we partner with Christ for the City International to serve communities in and around Bulawayo. Throughout the trip, volunteers will have the opportunity to build relationships while sharing hope through shoe distributions, community outreach, and encouragement. Ministry opportunities may include serving in schools, orphanages, hospitals, prisons, rural communities, by serving them with foot washings and shoe distributions, all while working alongside local leaders who are committed to long-term transformation through discipleship, evangelism, children's ministry, community development, and holistic care.

Beyond the ministry opportunities, the trip offers volunteers a chance to experience Zimbabwean culture through local meals, fellowship, and daily reflection with the team. Accommodations and transportation are coordinated with trusted local partners, allowing participants to focus on serving and building authentic connections with the people they meet. Depending on the itinerary, the team may also have the opportunity to visit one of Zimbabwe's most well-known natural landmarks, providing time to appreciate the beauty of the country while reflecting on the impact of the mission.

Lauren Forrest

Hi! My name is Lauren Forrest, and I have the privilege of serving as the Mission Coordinator for Samaritan's Feet International. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to serve on approximately 10 international mission trips, each one strengthening my passion for serving others and witnessing how God works through His people across cultures. I believe mission trips are about much more than the work we accomplish—they're about building meaningful relationships, growing in our faith, and allowing God to transform both the communities we serve and our own hearts along the way.

As your Team Leader, my goal is to create an environment where everyone feels prepared, supported, and encouraged throughout the journey. Whether this is your first mission trip or your tenth, I'll be here to guide you every step of the way, from preparing before we leave to serving alongside one another in-country. Some of my favorite moments on mission trips aren't the large events, but the conversations, shared meals, and unexpected moments where God reminds us that every person matters. I'm excited to serve with you and can't wait to see how God uses our team to make a lasting impact while creating memories and friendships that will last well beyond the trip.

Christ for the City International

Christ for the City International (CFCI) Zimbabwe is committed to bringing lasting transformation to communities by sharing the hope of the Gospel while addressing practical needs. Based in Bulawayo, the ministry partners with local churches, community leaders, and volunteers to serve through children's and orphanage ministries, hospital and prison outreach, leadership development, community development projects, support for individuals with special needs, outreach to vulnerable populations, and discipleship. Their vision is to see communities transformed by equipping local leaders and churches to bring hope where socioeconomic challenges have created significant needs.

CFCI Zimbabwe believes lasting impact comes through empowering local believers to lead ministry within their own communities. By fostering relationships with churches, schools, and community organizations, they create opportunities for both local and international teams to serve alongside Zimbabwean leaders in sharing the love of Christ through compassionate action and practical service. Their mission reflects the broader vision of Christ for the City International: "No place without a witness, no church without a vision, and no person without hope."
