About this trip

This is the ULTIMATE in unplugging and getting away from it all.

We are proud to announce our exclusive collaboration with Sango Wildlife Lodge, one of the world's premier luxury eco lodges, for this unique journey to go where few have.

Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in southern Africa known for its dramatic landscape and diverse wildlife, much of it within parks, reserves and safari areas. Zimbabwe is blessed with pristine tracts of wilderness that offer spectacular and diverse scenery home to all of Africa's celebrity animals.

If you're looking for a hit of adrenaline, exercise and fresh air, Zimbabwe has some great choices.

Zimbabwe has some stunning, varied landscapes: from flaming red msasa trees and lush mountains ranges to arid, boulder-strewn landscapes and stunning cliff formations.

For our newest adventure we get wild with wilderness and break down the walls between man and beast.

Eco Aligned Sango is situated in southeastern Zimbabwe, one of six countries at the southern tip of Africa.

Stretching from the Bikita Hills in the west and crossing nine major habitat zones to the Save River in the east, Sango provides guests with 60,000 hectares (600 km2) of untamed Africa.

The Savé Valley Conservancy is the home of the famous Big Five: elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo.

Built of natural materials, beautiful Sango Lodge lies in the heart of the untouched African bush with stunning views and elephants, bushbuck, lions and other local wildlife passing by., providing us with the perfect space to unplug and tune in.

This journey is really about resetting and being one with nature with each day filled with outdoor exploration, animal conservation, and local culture.

If you are looking to truly get away from it all, we invite you to run wild with us in Zimbabwe.

“My vision on Sango is to restore and maintain the natural biodiversity of the Save Valley Conservancy on a sustainable basis.”

Fierce, compassionate, and beating to the beat of her own drum, Erica Jung is one yoga teacher you want to know. She’s a New Jersey native and splits her time living there and in Hamburg, Germany. Making good use of her dual citizenship, she speaks both English and Mandarin and teaches and hosts yoga retreats all over the world. - Erica first found yoga about 13 years ago while studying psychology and nursing. She stepped into her first yoga class with a desire to become more flexible, only to discover yoga was so much more than that. It was a way to blend her WHOLE-istic philosophy and Eastern and Western Sciences together into a potent combination that brought out the highest version of self. - She's now the creator of Transformational Travel and Science of Spirit which all help people expand their perspectives and connect more fully and genuinely to their true selves, for their best life yet. _ She hopes to connect with you and share this ever exciting journey called life.

How would I describe this trip? The value I received (and continue to receive!) goes way beyond words, but I'll try! At every step, traveling with Erica taught me that I am capable of far more than I believed. This is one of my favorite things about her: she constantly and lovingly guides people toward the best versions of themselves. This was more than a vacation - it was a healing journey through and through. I came to learn and to grow and I did. I loved traveling with our small, tight-knit group. From our first welcome dinner on Day One to hiking Macchu Picchu together at sunrise near the end of the trip, we bonded quickly and closely. Each day brought awesome conversation where we all supported one another in facing fears and challenges, and also celebrated moments of breakthrough and bravery. I believe the strength of our group is a testament to the kind of energy Erica attracts. A trip with her is basically guaranteed to be made up of open, loving, and high-minded people. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the wonderful hotels! After long days of hiking and adventuring it was amazing to come back to such great places. The rooms were clean and beautiful, the beds were cozy, the showers were hot and the food was delicious. Erica and Udo did an amazing job lining all of that up. In addition, it was a big help knowing that rides to and from the airport were covered, as well as transport during the entire trip. I was so grateful to have that all taken care of ahead of time. I also want to mention our incredible guide, Gonzalo. It was so special to be led by him as his home is in Peru and his passion and respect for the places we visited was evident. His positive presence elevated our daily activities to an even higher level, and I loved getting to engage in frequent moments where we all took quiet time to reflect on the beauty of our surroundings and to be grateful for the breathtaking nature around us. This was a truly special time in a beautiful country. I'm typically a pretty anxious person and a timid traveler, so this was definitely a move that went out of my comfort zone, but that's exactly why it meant so much to me. I learned so much from going on this journey, and the lessons just continue to unfold now that I'm back home. Erica's a truly special person and a wonderful leader. ESPECIALLY go on this trip if you're scared. There's no better person to show you that you can overcome any fear.
If you have an opportunity to travel to Peru with Erica, JUST DO IT. I am still feeling the vibrations and goodness of this life-changing journey as I sit here at work, typing this review. :) Going to Peru with Erica was one of the best decisions I've made. Erica & Udo designed the absolute perfect experience in Peru: every detail added to an incredible journey, with plenty of room to take in the sights, sounds & feels of stunning, incredible Peru. The amazing Gonzalo was the BEST guide we could have ever hoped for! Through his eyes and heart, we felt the beauty of the Incan empire and the love for "Pacha Mama" (Mother Earth.) The stunning hotels, easy transit, outings, meals and activities were all absolutely perfect. We had just enough time to be active and also take in Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu at our own pace and with our own beat. We felt safe and taken care of every step of the way. I can't imagine seeing Peru for the first time any other way: I am so grateful to Erica, Udo & Gonzalo for making the experience perfect! Thank you so much. :)
The hotels where extremely comfortable, clean, and at prime locations. The food was fresh, delicious, varied and healthy. Most importantly, much love and care went into the planning of the activities. This has been a trip of a lifetime and I look forward to another opportunity traveling with Erica.
This was a trip of a lifetime. It’s hard to put into words what this trip meant to me. I’ve been to India a few times and I felt ready to experience some new places with a different leader. I met Erica on my first India trip in 2016 and she made such an impact on that trip and in my life since then. Erica goes above and beyond what a “trip curator” is. She will take you on an adventure...physically, emotionally, and spiritually if that’s what you’re seeking. If you are only prepared for one of those—she will help you attain that! Honestly, Erica is everything. If you get sick-she will do whatever it takes to help you get well. If you need a shoulder to cry on-she’s there. She sees the whole group and takes the time to make everyone feel comfortable and accepted. She’s easy going when you want to shop an extra 5 minutes or if you need another ginger lemon tea. She’s informative about the places we go and you never feel like a tourist. I didn’t have to worry or stress about what was next. I’m looking forward to my next trip wherever she goes!
I’m still unpacking mentally from the India trip! Where to begin to describe the experience? I met Erica at a Bhakti workshop in January 2019, this is where I learned about the India retreat. Although I only just met Erica, her energy was infectious and I knew I wanted to go. Of course I was nervous, not knowing anyone and traveling so far from home, but I signed up for the ‘magical carpet ride’ and have no regrets. The trip was certainly magical with all the culture, foods, sights and once in a lifetime experiences. The group of yogis that joined the trip were wonderful, we all bonded with the help of great activities orchestrated by Erica and Udo. Every detail was so well planned with the support of the team put together by Erica and Udo. I always felt supported and secure, not a care or worry - I was where I needed to be at all times. I would highly recommend traveling with Erica and Udo!
