My return trip to Argentina was wonderful! Two days in Buenos Aires at the excellent Mine Boutique hotel in Palermo Soho, exploring the neighborhood and sites downtown. I also tried a Tango class! Flew to El Calafate and stayed at Kosten Aike hotel (again excellent) for a visit to the wonderful Perito Moreno glacier. This included a boat trip on Lake Argentino to get close to the front of the glacier. Unexpectedly, I did see several ice falls from the glacier! Then four days in El Chalten - the highlight of the trip, staying at the excellent Los Cerros hotel. The weather was clear and sunny, so did three long day hikes into the mountains around Mount Fitzroy, these included Laguna de las Tres via Rio Electrico and Laguna Torre. Breathtaking views! Finally, flew back to Buenos Aires, staying overnight at the Mine Boutique hotel. I had a fully day to explore more of the city before my night flight home. I highly recommend visiting El Zahon and the Casa Minima. I wholeheartedly recommend Dittmar Adventures, who organized the entire trip flawlessly. I definitely plan on booking my future travels to Argentina and Chile with them!
